A Reminder to Value Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts

In 2005, I had an unforgettable experience that taught me an important lesson.

I was being affected by the attachment of seeking comfort. I did not want to study the Fa and it was hard for me to send forth righteous thoughts at the four set times each day. I did not send forth righteous thoughts at midnight. My excuse was that I was too sleepy. A practitioner came to know this and told me, "You don't send righteous thoughts at midnight, yet other practitioners do. Won't all the evil escape to your dimensional field to hide?" I did not listen seriously.

Gradually I reduced my sending forth righteous thoughts to three times daily, then to twice or once a day. My excuse was I felt tired during sending forth righteous thoughts. This abnormal state continued for several months. Finally the evil took advantage of my loopholes and started persecuting me.

One day I was lying on the bed face down. While half asleep, I saw a creature in the form of a human shadow. It came into my bedroom. I felt that its black energy field was quite strong. It laid itself on top of me, which felt very heavy. I immediately felt as though I could hardly breathe. But my consciousness was clear. I instinctively turned my face towards my back and recited these words to it, "Fa Zheng Qian Kun, Xie E Quan Mie [The Fa rectifies the cosmos, the Evil is completely eliminated]." But the righteous energy that I sent out was too weak. When I recited the first time, that creature did not move at all. Only after I recited the words the third time did it move slightly.

I realized that I was not very capable. Then one thought instinctively came to mind, "Ask Teacher for help!" The moment that thought emerged, immediately from the direction of my feet, a powerful energy current, like a strong tornado, shot at that dark creature. That dark material was taken away like a feather. Afterward, I felt immediately at ease and alive.

I knew that benevolent Teacher had saved me. I had become complacent, yet Teacher did not give up on me and still protected me. This was a profound lesson for me.

Since then, I highly value consistently sending forth righteous thoughts four times daily. Although there is frequent interference, with strong righteous thoughts I can quickly eliminate it.
