1) Practitioner Ms. Cong urged people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations at a friend's party. A relative pointed at a gentleman in his 60s and said, "I'll quit whatever organization you want me to if you can persuade him to do it." Ms. Cong thought to herself, "I am here to save people regardless of who he is." So she asked the gentleman to go outside and began to talk with him about the facts of Falun Gong, while in her mind asking Teacher for help. She was full of righteous thoughts and not attached to her own self-interest in the slightest. Through her sincere, patient, and detailed explanation, the gentleman eventually agreed to quit the CCP.

Afterwards the relative asked her, "Do you know who he is?" She said, "No." The relative said, "I never expected that you could persuade him to quit. He is the commander of the So-and-So Military District (typically covering multiple provinces)."

2) A practitioner in a village was arrested and taken to the police station. The police threatened him, "You produce all the Falun Gong information materials in this area. If you do not cooperate with us today, we will put you in jail." The practitioner refused to cooperate. Without any fear, he sent forth strong righteous thoughts to dissolve all the evil factors manipulating the police.

An hour later, the police officer's ferocity was greatly reduced, his vehemence dissipated, and he oddly said: "The outcome will be bad if one opposes Falun Gong. Why don't you go home now?"

So the practitioner walked out of the police station and went home.

3) The chief of a certain police station went with some policemen to a practitioner's home to harass him. They started to ransack the place after they got into the house. The chief wanted to see what was in the cabinet. Just as he was about to open it, the practitioner put his hand on the cabinet door and said sternly, "This is my home. Who gave you the right to open my cabinet?" The chief was stunned. Knowing that he did not have the right to do it, the chief went away with the rest of the police. The practitioner's righteous thoughts disintegrated the evil behind the chief of the police station.

4) A practitioner went to the village's supply cooperative to buy some persimmons. The police and the village party secretary also came in. The police wanted to take her fingerprints but she refused. In turn, she talked with them about the facts of Falun Gong and let them know that what they were trying to do was wrong. Fearful that she might get arrested, her family members tried to make her give her fingerprints, but she shook them loose. When the police tried to drag her to the police car, the neighbors brought her elderly grandmother over. The police was forced to stop and drove away.

The next day at noon, the police went to her house again and blocked off the exit. They wanted to get her fingerprints, but she again refused. The police dragged her into the car and took her to the police station. They threatened that they would send her to the police department if she did not comply. So they did. She kept telling people the facts wherever she was taken. A captain at the police department tried to persuade her to allow her fingerprints to be taken. She told him that she would have done so at home if she were going to do that. Getting no where, he asked a policewoman to talk to her. The practitioner told the facts to the policewoman. The policewoman was moved, "It is not easy to work on the farm and take care of three elderly people at home at the same time." The captain came over to see if she was complying and threatened to put her in jail. The practitioner had faith in Dafa and Teacher and categorically refused to comply. She said firmly, "What you said does not count. You will take me back the same way you brought me here." The captain said, "If what I said does not count, then whose counts?" She said firmly, "What my Master says does," and began to send forth righteous thoughts. Soon enough, the policeman who brought her there drove her home.

5) In spring 2003, the police from a village police station went to a practitioner's home to harass her. They banged on the door, but the practitioner refused to open it and told them, "You law enforcement officers are violating the law trying to break into innocent citizens' homes. If you break in, you will suffer the consequences for your wrongdoing." They did not dare to break in and went away dejectedly, and never bother her again. This is the power of righteous thoughts.
