(Clearwisdom.net) At noon on September 30, 2007, practitioner Ms. Li Fangling from Longquanyi District in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province was illegally arrested by the staff from the Longquanyi District 610 Office.

Ms. Li Fangling, around 62, lives in an apartment in section B of the Space Program 7062 Base in Longquanyi District. Her husband is a retiree from the 303 Factory. She never went to school, but after she started to practice Falun Gong, she was gradually able to read Falun Dafa books. After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, she was illegally arrested, detained, interrogated, and imprisoned by people of the Longquanyi District 610 Office, the local Space Program Bureau, the Longquanyi District Police Department, the Longquan Town Police Station, the Longquan Town Comprehensive Management Office, and the local residential committee. She was imprisoned because she remained firm in her belief, refusing to renounce her practice of Falun Gong.

In the evening of November 11, 2001, Ms. Li Fangling and another practitioner went to the Space Program Hospital Residential Area to distribute truth-clarification materials about Falun Gong. They were later separated. When Ms. Li was posting sticky notes with truth-clarification materials on electricity poles, a policeman in plain-clothes took down the sticky notes and asked her, "Did you post this?" Ms. Li Fangling started walking away without answering him. But the policeman ran after her and grabbed her by the sleeve. He called a tricycle and pushed her into it and took her to the Space Program Bureau.

At the Space Program Bureau, Gong Jianguo suddenly grabbed Ms. Li Fangling's hands and turned them behind her back and handcuffed her. As he was doing this, he cursed her and forced her to stand against the wall. They later took her back home where seven policemen and a policewoman ransacked her home. They searched all desk drawers and cabinets in every room and confiscated Zhuan Falun, Teacher's new articles, all Falun Dafa materials, a tape recorder and exercise tapes. Then around midnight, they took her back to the Longquanyi District Police Department. They cuffed her and another practitioner to the stair rails. At 7 a.m. the next day, they unlocked them and took them to the courtyard; then cuffed them to the iron post of the bicycle parking booth. Policeman Deng Hong stayed and watched them. At noon, the police took them to the Beigandao Police Station in Longquan Town. There they were interrogated and strip-searched individually. At 5 p.m., they were put into the Beigandao Detention Center for fifteen days.

In the afternoon on May 15, 2003, Ms. Li Fangling and another female practitioner rode bicycles to Baigongyan to distribute truth-clarification materials. When they passed the gate of the township government office, Ms. Li put some material into the complaint box. A few evildoers saw her and after she had rode off several hundred yards, a man and a woman on a motorcycle followed them. The evildoers pulled on their bicycles and forced them to go into a courtyard. There they were pushed into a car and taken to the Longquan Town Police Station. They were interrogated individually.

Then over a dozen policemen went to ransack Ms. Li Fangling's home. They pried open her suitcases and dressers and searched through all three rooms. They confiscated all her Falun Dafa books, a tape recorder, and exercise tapes. They also took her daughter to the police station and interrogated her several times. They handcuffed her daughter to the iron post of the bicycle parking booth for a day. Her neighbor came to beg the police to release her and they finally released her.

A policewoman used a red cloth to cover Ms. Li Fangling's eyes and two policemen carried her to a police car. The police car drove for twenty minutes and then stopped. Two people dragged her out of the car and took her to a small room on the sixth floor. There was only one desk, a few chairs and a stool. Ms. Li Fangling was handcuffed and forced to sit on the stool for three days while she was interrogated. She was not allowed to eat, drink, or sleep. Policemen from the First Section of the Longquanyi District Police Department took turns to interrogate her.

At 5 p.m. on May 20, 2003, she was taken to the Longquan Town Detention Center where she was detained for more than a month. Section Chief Deng Xiaodong of the First Section, Longquanyi District Police Department and policeman Zhang Chunming from the Longquan Town Police Station participated in the interrogation. During the interrogation, a policeman asked her, "Why do Falun Gong practitioners call us evil policemen?" Ms. Li answered, "Everyone has some Buddha nature and some demon nature. When the Buddha nature appears, the person will be very nice. When the demon nature appears, the person will be vicious and cruel. Choosing what to do is totally up to you. Karmic retribution is the way of the universe."

At 8 a.m. on May 21, 2004, several evildoers, including Yang Hong, a former policeman from the B Section of the 7062 Base, Zhu Zhanglin from Longquan Town Comprehensive Management Office, dragged her downstairs and pushed her into a car. She was then taken to the infamous Chengdu City, Xinjin Brainwashing Center and imprisoned there for about two months. Personnel of the Xinjin Brainwashing Center have tortured many practitioners. They drove a beautiful lady, Zhuxia insane and caused a 45 year old female practitioner to die. At the brainwashing center, several assistants stayed with Ms. Li Fangling and monitored her around the clock. They beat and abused her constantly. She was forced to write the three statements. Otherwise, she would have been imprisoned there indefinitely.
