(Clearwisdom.net) About 10 p.m. on September 17, 2007, police officers from Shiyan City, Hubei Province, knocked on the door of the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Du Liangen. They claimed that they were collecting taxes, but Mr. Du's family members were very cautious and suspicious so they did not open the door. The police then attempted to break in.

On the morning of September 18, 2007, before Mr. Du's wife left for work, she saw three or four suspicious looking people snooping around the building. After Mr. Du finished his breakfast at his parents', he left for his job driving a taxi. Some time between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. he was arrested.

Mr. Du's wife came home from work to a home that was a terrible mess from being ransacked (see photo). Their notebook computer, printer, books, and other things had all been confiscated. She called 110 (equivalent to 911 in the US) to report the incident. No officer showed up so she called again, but the police from the Fifth Brigade said that they wouldn't send anyone out to investigate.

Mr. Du's family members don't know the charges for his arrest and don't know where he has been taken. After inquiring from many sources, they found out that he was taken away by the National Security Team of Shiyan City. Chief Gao (gender and first name unknown) of the National Security Team said that Du Liangen was studying in a class. It was later learned that Mr. Du is being detained in an unknown location in Yunxi County.

Though the CPC believes that is is "improving" its image because it is hosting the Olympics in 2008, it continues to rampantly arrest people who believe in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," the principle of Falun Gong, and continues to sabotage human rights .
