A Senior Policeman in China with Thirty Years' Experience Speaks His Mind

I have been a policeman for nearly 30 years. Police officers should protect people against criminal acts and arrest those who commit criminal acts. We should serve people benevolently. However, at present, Chinese police don't do their jobs. Instead they do immoral things they are not supposed to do, such as intimidating Chinese citizens on behalf of politicians at all levels of government. They arrest citizens who do not follow the planned pregnancy policy, they forcibly relocate citizens, they intercept citizens who attempt to appeal, and they persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Even for Party conferences at county and town levels, there must be police present to control citizens. That's why people say, "The police are like a dog that belongs to the CCP. They have to bite people if they are told to."

Busy Doing Bad Deeds

Officials are busy presenting gifts and treating guests to establish good relationships with every department. They are busy flattering each other to alleviate difficult problems when they arise. They are busy being promoted. Police officers are busy with business and dealing with perjury documents that higher level departments pass down. They are busy with endless security and criminal cases. They are busy working sometimes overnight and cannot go home.

"Contract police" and "police assistants" are pitiful. They have to do more work for less pay, about four to five hundred yuan monthly. It's hard for them to work properly. If they do their work well, then the officials will take the credit and blame them for any mistakes. For small mistakes they may be punished, and for big mistakes they may be beaten. They will not even be taken care of if they get injured. They don't have insurance and are under so much pressure they often do things against their consciences.

You Must Be Close to Those Above for a Promotion

I'll tell you, it's impossible for any good police officer who does his or her job well to be promoted. Officials are like a web of the CCP. It's even useless to try and buy an official position or flatter your superiors. You must be close personally to someone from above. Otherwise, never think about it, it's their family members and friends who hold these positions.

Therefore, as a CCP official, you can't be promoted just because you do your job well. You just have to be close to someone from above to be promoted.

Treating Good People Worse Than True Criminals

It's reiterated that the police should not beat, abuse, physically punish, or interrogate criminals when dealing with a case. However Jiang Zemin's regime brutally beats millions of Falun Gong practitioners, giving the inhuman order that "death due to torture can be counted as suicide." Before 1999, many Falun Gong practitioners were seniors, older retirees, senior CCP officials, and frail patients. After they practiced Falun Gong, their health and their xinxing improved. They became selfless and considered others first. More and more people became Falun Gong practitioners to become good people. They were not officials and they didn't pursue political rank.

However Jiang Zemin's regime was scared to death, and it made an enemy of a huge group of good people, causing the current persecution that has lasted for eight years. Where is the rotten root? Luo Gan, member of Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CCP, is in charge of the Judicial and Public Security Departments. Anyone who has had contact with him knows that, since becoming an official, he has often cursed people on any occasion. With such a person as a supervisor, how can his subordinates be good people?

Policemen Also Have a Knowing Side

Master Li of Falun Dafa teaches people the principles of the universe. Therefore, Master Li is saving people, and Falun Dafa can truly upgrade the morality of society. As a result, more and more people are coming to learn Falun Dafa, and they are becoming more and more steadfast. They will neither strike back when beaten, nor swear back when sworn at. No matter how severely they are tortured by the police, they still calmly clarify the truth of Falun Dafa to their abusers. Why? Only because they want to awaken the police officers' consciences and save them.

I would not be afraid to say that 99 percent of all police have family members, friends, classmates, colleagues among whom there are Falun Gong practitioners. Everyone can investigate and gather evidence for themselves. Did they benefit from practicing Falun Gong and become healthy? Did they tell the truth? It's time to stop committing huge sins against our consciences.

Falun Gong practitioners also have parents, wives, husbands, sisters, brothers, and children. When you persecute Falun Gong practitioners, and their family members do not practice Falun Gong, do you ever think of what you're doing? The persecution has lasted for eight years. The police should be clear minded about who are truly good people and who are truly bad.

As a police officer, if you treat Falun Gong practitioners kindly in the future, you will benefit others tremendously. Otherwise you will receive retribution. It is not that there are no rewards for being good or no punishments for being bad, it's just that these truths have not been fully revealed yet. When the time is right, rewards and retribution will all come. Police officers, please choose your fates carefully!
