We Need to Improve Our Understanding of the Fa Principles

(Clearwisdom.net) I have some understandings about where we fall short as a whole body, and I would like to share them with fellow practitioners.

1. We have an insufficient understanding of the old forces and their arrangements

Why do I say this? At present, we have a deep understanding of the negative life in Fa rectification arranged by the old forces, while we do not understand the positive life arranged by the old forces. When measured with the standard of Fa rectification, these positive lives still cannot meet the requirements of Fa rectification. How have these positive lives done? How can we discover the damage they cause while appearing to be benevolent, and how is that manifested in ourselves? How does that relate to the persecution? I believe that we need to think about it. To be clear on the Fa principles is to deny the old forces completely.

2. Misunderstanding Fa study and cultivating ourselves

Master teaches us that saving sentient beings is far beyond personal cultivation. We seem to have a consistent theme when it comes to doing Dafa work. Many times we are busy with doing things and we think that the more things we do, the more sentient beings we can save. We view Fa study and cultivating ourselves as being part of the personal cultivation stage, thinking of them as being less important.

I realized that the "personal cultivation" in "saving sentient beings" is far beyond cultivating for the purpose of personal Consummation. We keep studying the Fa and cultivating in order to rectify our realms, so that we have the ability to assist Teacher and save sentient beings. It does not mean that Fa study and cultivating ourselves are a part of personal cultivation, nor does it mean that the more things we do, the more sentient beings we can save.

When we assist Teacher and save sentient beings, we do it in a true dimension. Our main body is the side obtaining the Fa and righteous thoughts, and it leads us in clarifying the truth and validating Fa in the ordinary human dimension. At the same time, our main body mobilizes the supernormal abilities in other dimensions to eliminate the evil. How can we do things without the Fa? We often relax our Fa study and cultivating ourselves when we are busy with doing things. Don't we then turn into ordinary people doing things? Doesn't it interfere with Teacher's Fa rectification and obstruct our true nature from participating in the Fa rectification? Therefore, we must do the three things well simultaneously.
