Germany: Spreading the Facts of Falun Gong at the Frankfurt Book Fair (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The annual "Frankfurter Buchmesse" (Frankfurt Book Fair), one of the largest of its kind, attracted publishers from around the world as it does every year. On October 13, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners set up an information booth across from the famous Messe Frankfurt to introduce Falun Gong, expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) atrocities of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, and help Chinese visitors withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

Practitioners started out by doing the exercises during the chilly morning of an autumn day. Their display was barely set up when a young German girl with an armful of books passed by. Attracted by what she saw, she squatted down to read the illustrations in German line by line. After she finished, she stepped toward the table to collect various leaflets and sign the petition condemning the CCP persecution. Before she left, she quietly asked practitioners, "May I take a petition form, please? I want to ask my friends and relatives to sign it."

Attracted by the graceful exercise demonstration, a German couple attending the Buchmesse with two children asked questions in front of the information stand. After learning the facts about Falun Gong and the CCP's atrocities of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, the two children kept asking their mother, "Can we sign? Can we sign?" All four signed to support Falun Gong. After signing, the older girl went through every different leaflet on the table. A practitioner gave her a paper lotus flower and said to the parents, "Your child doesn't want to leave because she feels sad." Her mother agreed, "Of course. It's hard for Western people to believe nowadays things like this can still happen in the world. But we experienced the eras of Hitler and Eastern Germany, so we can understand better. We wish you all good luck!" The Father echoed, "We wish you success!"

"Falun Gong? You mean, you are Falun Gong?" Hearing a Falun Gong practitioner speak, a gentleman strode towards the stand. "Do you collect donations? I would like to donate." As he spoke he took out his wallet. Practitioners explained that they did not take donations. If he wanted to help, he could sign to condemn the persecution. He was a little surprised and then signed the petition. As it turned out, he was a doctor who had learned the truth about the CCP persecution of Falun Gong through media reports. After signing, he asked a practitioner who had been illegally detained by the CCP about details of the persecution in forced labor camps. Later, grasping the practitioner's hands, he said, "Your story moves me deeply! Good luck to you and your friends! I wish you success!"

Seeing the Falun Gong information stand from distance, a Chinese gentleman from China walked over. A practitioner told him that over 27 million people had already quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations via The Epoch Times website. The man admitted he had received recorded phone calls from overseas urging him to quit the CCP. The practitioner asked him, "Did you ever join the Communist Youth League?" He replied, "I am even a member of the CCP." The practitioner told him about the stone in Guizhou with the carved words: "The Chinese Communist Party Ends." The practitioner urged him to think about his life and withdraw from the CCP immediately using an alias. Smiling, he nodded, "OK, OK!"
