Today's report relates persecution incidents that involve 34 cities or counties in 18 provinces. Seventy-six practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 54 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Personnel from the Nanshi District Police Department's Hongxing Street Police Station in Baoding City broke into Ms. Sun Lianying's home again and arrested her at 11:00 a.m. on October 15, 2007. Her son, who studies in another city, did not know of her arrest.

Hongxing Street Police Station chief Song Wei had led four station officers and ransacked Ms. Sun's home at 10:00 p.m. on September 21, 2007. They confiscated all Dafa books, a desktop computer, and some cash. Ms. Sun was released the afternoon of October 22, 2007.

About 20 officials from the Honghua Township Party Committee concocted a scheme. They ordered Ms. Xiao Youxue from Hanzhuang Village, Honghua Township, Dancheng County, Linyi City, to "come have a talk" the end of September 2007 and arrested her later on. Ms. Xiao has been held more than two weeks. Ms. Zhang's family asked the Party committee to release her. These people had the nerve to say they had not arrested Ms. Xiao.

Practitioner Ms. Xiao, 53 years old, is a retired teacher. She was already arrested the end of October 2000 when she posted facts about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her family paid the police off and got her released. Nevertheless, Ms. Xiao was put in the Linyi City Brainwashing Center.

Lingyuan City Goumenzi Police Station deputy chief Wang Shiliang and political head Liu Jingkui went to harass Mr. Xie Baocai at his home at 3:00 p.m. on October 12, 2007. They saw one of Master's pictures and consequently arrested Mr. Xie, using this as cause for the arrest. They took him to the city's No.2 Detention Center.

Mohudian Police Station chief Li Guojun led two officers to practitioner Ms. Mao Yongchun's home and confiscated a satellite receiver on October 13, 2007.

Police from the Zhenjiang City Railway Station arrested 40-year-old Ms. Song Ping from the Futian District, Shenzhen City, the end of September 2007. Ms. Song's whereabouts are unknown. Ms. Song's brother, her sole relative, does not know her whereabouts.

About ten policemen from Li County in Hunan Province went to Ms. Li Lanzhen's home on the night of the 2007 Mid Autumn Festival. They were determined to find Falun Gong information. The intruders messed up her home, but fortunately Ms. Li escaped. Police also ransacked Ms. Yu Shuhui's home and confiscated some Falun Dafa books. Ms. Yu was not at home during the home search. Police attempted to arrest Mr. Zhang Zhongnian that night, but no one was at his home. The three practitioners were forced to live in exile to avoid further persecution.

Personnel from the Qingming Police Station arrested Ms. Wang Wei on July 13, 2007. His whereabouts are unknown.

Policemen from the Anqing City 610 Office arrested about 20 practitioners and took them to a brainwashing center in the city's cadre recreation institute.

Five officers from the Baima Town Police Station arrested Ms. Gu Xingfeng and Ms. Li Jiaming, in their 60s, from their homes in Huilong Village, Guabang Township, Miyi County, the morning of October 13, 2007.

Personnel from the Nanqiaosi Area in the Jiangbei District arrested practitioner Ms. Zhu Guofeng and another practitioner surnamed Wang from Chongqing and took them to the district's detention center.

Police from Junan County arrested 30-year-old Mr. Cao Guozhen from Zhulu Town, Junan County, on October 13, 2007. They ransacked his home the next day. Mr. Cao is presently being held at the county's detention center.

Mr. Cao had already been sentenced and has served three years of forced labor beginning in 1999.

Practitioner Mr. Shi Lei's 60-year-old parents, his wife, and his son traveled three hours by bus to Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang City on October 1, 2007. In complete violation of the Chinese constitution, police denied their right to visit, saying it was "because Mr. Shi refused to wear a criminal's uniform."

Several practitioners are presently being held at the Tieling City Detention Center in Liaoning Province. Practitioners Ms. Sun Shufen and Mr. Li Zhongyuan are on a persecution-protest hunger strike.

Hanzhong City National Security Section chief Du Jiucheng led a few officers and broke into Ms. Liao Jun's home. They ransacked the place on September 10, 2007. Ms. Liao is presently being held at the Nanzheng County Detention Center.

Ms. Liao is a former employee of the Huayan Meter Factory. The authorities had already persecuted Ms. Liao and several other practitioners on September 14, 2002. They extorted 4,000 yuan from her.

We have lost any contact with practitioner Mr. Wu from Nanchang City since he went to Yifeng County, Jiangxi Province, to explain the facts of the persecution of Falun Gong on September 27, 2007.

Personnel from the Pingnan Police Station in Pingshi Town, Lechang City arrested Mr. Huang Xiangui and Ms. Liu Zaihua at 7:00 a.m. on October 10, 2007.

Personnel from the Beijing Police Department and from the Pinggu District Police Department arrested Ms. Cui Xinhong and her husband, Mr. Zhao Jianzhong, from the district at noon on October 13, 2007. The arrest happened because Internet police found they had logged on to the Clearwisdom.net. Police ransacked their home and confiscated a lot of items worth more than 100,000 yuan. The couple is 30 years old. Mr. Zhao works at the district's Power Supply Bureau; Ms. Cui works at the district's Customhouse Brokerage.

Personnel from the Nanhua Police Station in Tiexi District, Anshan City, broke into Ms. Liu Suhuan's home in the district's Nantao Area on October 14, 2007. They ransacked her home and confiscated some jewelry. Ms. Liu is the sister of recently arrested practitioner Ms. Liu Suzhi.

Personnel from the Pingshan Police Station in Beixi City arrested 54-year-old Ms. Yuan the night of October 12, 2007.

Policemen from the Taierzhuang District 610 Office in Zaozhuang City arrested practitioner Mr. Wu Bo on September 12, 2007. They recently also arrested a 60-year-old woman practitioner from Taozhuang Town.

Personnel from the Baihe Forest Police Department arrested practitioners Mr. Li Leyou and Ms. Yang from the Erdao Baihe Area in Antu County the morning of October 16, 2007. Police officer Wang Yong from the Baihe No.2 Police Station followed Ms. Yang to Mr. Li's home.

Practitioner Mr. Zhang Guodong from the Gao District in Weihai City was arrested on October 11, 2007. Practitioner Mr. Bi Jiankai was also arrested that day. They are presently being held at the city's detention center.

Police went to practitioner Mr. Dong Huanxiang's workplace, the Tianhe Chess Institute, that same day. They arrested him and confiscated his students' tuition fee, about 50,000 yuan. They also confiscated a car parked at the city's International Haishui Swimming Pool's parking lot.

Several practitioners were arrested between the end of August and the early part of October 2007. They were: Ms. Wan Dexiang, Mr. Wang Xuejun, Ms. Fu Yunxiang, Cui Zhaozhen, and Mr. Zhang Hongli from Wanjia Town.

Police attempted to arrest a practitioner in Zhouge Village, Damujia Town, Gaomi City, on October 15, 2007, but the practitioner was not at home. They then arrested her husband, Mr. Liu Mingzhi, and confiscated a computer, a printer, some persecution truth-explanation materials, and Dafa books. Mr. Liu's whereabouts are unknown.

Personnel from the Yanqing County Police Department arrested 40-year-old practitioner Ms. Wu Shuhua from Mapiying Village, Shenjiaying Town, Yanqing County, on September 21, 2007. Ms. Wu is presently being held at the county's detention center.

Practitioner Ms. Lu Cuiying from Zhengzhou City, who had been held at the Zhongyuan District Detention Center, was transferred to the city's No.4 Detention Center at 6:00 p.m. on October 15, 2007.

Officer Jiao Heping from the Hujiamiao Police Station duped 40-year-old practitioner Mr. Chen Mingan to come outside and arrested him the night of September 30, 2007. Mr. Chen was taken to the Chang'an County Worker's Nursing Department, actually a brainwashing center. Mr. Chen has been arrested many times.

Personnel from the Baqiao Police Station arrested 67-year-old practitioner Ms. Li Xueqing near the Shilipu Area in the Eastern Xi'an suburb at 11:00 a.m. on October 6, 2007. Her family did not know she was arrested and inquired everywhere. Eventually they found out that Ms. Li was being held at the Chang'an County Brainwashing Center. Ms. Li's family went to visit her. Agents from the brainwashing center and from the Baqiao District Police Department ransacked Ms. Li's home.

Practitioner Ms. Li Guiqing, 60, and her non-practitioner husband were arrested and taken to the Chang'an County Brainwashing Center on October 10, 2007. Police shut down the family-owned factory. Ms. Li's daughter requested her parent's release, but her request was refused.

Practitioners Ms. Wang Jiali and Ms. Wang Dong are being held in the county's brainwashing center.

Ms. Xia Jiayan is a teacher at Qingyang City's Xifeng Trade School. The police often harassed her and had sentenced her to one year of forced labor. They attempted to arrest Ms. Xia on August 3, 2007, but she was not at home. Ms. Xia eventually chose to live in exile.

Personnel from the Liaocheng City Radio and TV Administration Bureau, from the city's police department, and from the city's business bureau damaged over 500 satellite TV receivers and 126 antennas the afternoon of October 11, 2007. They found 15 satellite receiver-selling dealers and fined those dealers and their customers.

These destructive individuals damaged over 80 satellite receivers in Xiedian Township, Guan County, on September 27, 2007. They also destroyed 30 satellite receivers in Gaotang County.

Practitioner Mr. Luo lives on Jianshe Street in the Wanghua District, Fushun City. His wife reported him to personnel in the Bawei Street Police Station. Police arrested him the afternoon of October 15, 2007. His wife also reported another gentleman practitioner. The two practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.

Policeman Zhao Kui from the Baoshan District, Shuangyashan City, broke into Ms. Wu Yuexia's home at 6:30 p.m. on September 28, 2007. Ms. Wu is a teacher at the district's middle school. Police arrested her and ordered her family to pay 20,000 yuan. Her family did not have enough money, so the police put her into a forced labor camp. Baoshan District Police Department's Anti-Falun Gong Division chief Chen Zhen extorted money from Ms. Wu several times.

Police ransacked a practitioner's copy center on October 11, 2007. Ms. Li Zuping from the copy center was arrested and her home was ransacked.

Personnel from the Fengtai District Police Department arrested practitioner Ms. Zhuang Yanhong on September 11, 2007. They told her family that she would be held for 30 days. Though the 30-day detention has expired, police still do not release her. They did not give any explanation for the extension.

Ms. Jin Caihua, an employee from the Hanzhong City No. 2 Factory was arrested on October 11, 2007. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Personnel from the Dawukou District Police Department in Shizuishan City broke into Ms. Li Lanfeng's home and ransacked the place at 7:00 p.m. on September 17, 2007. They confiscated one of Master's pictures, a few Dafa lecture tapes, some Dafa books, and a laptop computer. Practitioners Ms. Liu Xiaoning and Ms. Li's husband, Mr. Chen Baozhong, were also arrested. Practitioners Ms. Li and Ms. Liu from Zhongwei City were taken to the district's police department. Mr. Chen, a senior engineer, was held at a restaurant for three days and was then released because his workplace needed his technical support skills. Ms. Li is presently being held at the city's No.1 Detention Center and Ms. Liu was sent back to Zhongwei City Police Department.

About ten officers from the Qingzhou City 610 Office, from the National Security Division and from the Huanglou Town Police Station arrested practitioner Mr. Zhao Qifu's wife and practitioners Mr. Li Faheng and his wife from Liujiapo Village, Huanglou Town at 2:00 p.m. on September 10, 2007. The practitioners are presently being held at the Qingzhou City Detention Center.

Personnel from the Songyuan City Police Department followed three practitioners at 7:00 p.m. on October 13, 2007. The arrest happened when the three practitioners were on their way to a practitioner's home in Changshan Town. Officers arrested them and body-searched them. They found severa truth-clarification brochures and two removable discs. The practitioners were sent to the town's police department and later transferred to the city's police department.

The police had the three practitioners' house keys. They ransacked a practitioner's home and confiscated a computer, a printer, a CD-burner, a car, and 45,000 yuan cash.
