Police Officers in Huangmei County, Hubei Province Assault Practitioners and Cause Permanent Physical Damage

(Clearwisdom.net) At around 4 p.m. on October 10, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Hu Borong and Ms. Huang Yulan from Huangmei County, Hubei Province were illegally arrested while they were clarifying the truth in Nienong Village and were taken to the Fenlu Police Station. When the police seized them, they slapped the two practitioners in the face and said, "We will beat you to death!"

As soon as the two practitioners arrived at the police station, they were separated and locked up in separate cells. Six police officers, headed by Hong Baohua, surrounded Ms. Hu, drew down the window curtain, and pushed her to the ground. Then Hong Baohua and Chen Ming kicked her, stomped on her, and ground their leather boots into her body. While stomping on her, Hong Baohua said through clenched teeth, "You said that I am a vicious policeman, so I will kill you today." Ms. Hu was on the verge of losing consciousness from the beating.

When Ms. Huang saw that Ms. Hu had been severely beaten and tried to help her up, Hong Baohua punched Ms. Huang in the face. Ms. Huang's face swelled up badly as a result. The police then dragged Ms. Hu and Ms. Huang to the police van and took them to the detention center. At this point, Ms. Hu was barely conscious. The following day, officials from the Procuratorate in Huanggang District went to the detention center and saw that Ms. Hu and Ms. Huang were badly injured, and criticized the center for having admitted them.

On the third and fourth day, when Ms. Hu's family members came to visit, they found that she was tortured so severely that she could neither stand up straight or walk. Her family demanded her release. However, the detention center asserted that it was the police station's affair, so her family went to the police station to demand her release. Ms. Hu's daughter asked the police why they had beaten her mother so badly, but the police refused to take responsibility, saying that she was beaten in the detention center. They then threatened to beat up Ms. Hu's son-in-law.

In the afternoon on July 24, 2007, a dozen police officers from the Fen Lu Police Station, including Hong Baohua and Cai Yuji, broke into practitioner Yang Chengsong's home. They stole many books and Dafa materials, arrested her, and sent her to the detention center in Huangmei County.
