Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhao Xianghai from Xiangtan City, Hunan Province Forcibly Taken to a Psychiatric Hospital

(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioner Mr. Zhao Xianghai from Xiangtan City, Hunan Province is suffering from mistreatment by officials from the 610 Officeof Xiangtan City in the Psychiatric Hospital of Xiangtan City. His family members went to see him in the hospital, but were denied visitation by the doctors. After his family members tried to reason with the hospital staff, the doctors said that they must have an approval letter from the employer where Mr. Zhao works, otherwise, they could not visit him.

Mr. Zhao is an employee at Xiangtan Steel Inc. He was sentenced to one year of forced labor for validating Falun Dafa in 2001. In August 2005, he was again sentenced to two years of forced labor by officials from the "610 Office" of Xiangtan City. He suffered from ongoing abuse in the Xinkaipu Labor Camp in Changsha City. According to the practitioners released from the labor camp, Mr. Zhao became very frail due to these mistreatments. He had to rely on holding onto the walls to walk, was often confused, and he could not take care of himself. His condition has become very serious.

Another practitioner who was detained there at the same time is Ms. Xu Ailian. She was illegally sent there by the 610 Office of Xiangtan County.

Falun Dafa Practitioner Li Mengjun from Shizixiang Neighborhood, Dongping Town, Xiangtan City, Hunan Province Was Threatened and Abused

On the morning of August, 10, 2006, Yi Juyuan (female), Director of Shizixiang Neighborhood, Dongping Town, Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, together with Zhao (male, first name unknown), Party Secretary of Dongping Neighborhood, Luo Xiaohong (female), and Chen, police officer for the neighborhood, broke into practitioner Ms. Li Mengjun's home and forced her to hand over Falun Dafa books, otherwise, they would not leave. Finally, they deceived her into showing them the books, pretending they wanted to borrow her books. They threatened her into telling them where she got the books and where she learned Falun Gong. If she did not cooperate, they told her she would be taken to a detention center. They refused to listen to her when she tried to persuade them to be kind people, and when she tried to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa to them.
