(Clearwisdom.net) I once rode my bicycle to a far-away village to distribute truth-clarification leaflets and post notices on walls. Before leaving home, I sent forth righteous thoughts. After arriving, I started to post the notices on walls and concrete posts. I walked and posted at the same time.
All of a sudden, an old lady came out of her home to pick up some firewood. She saw the truth-clarification notices that I had stuck on the walls. It was daytime. I did not pay attention to her and kept sticking up the notices. This village has an unusual location. There is only a narrow bridge to enter or exit the village. After I finished sticking up the notices, I had to use the bridge to leave the village.
When I got to the bridge, there were two big, strong men standing at the end of the bridge. They looked ominous. When I passed them, they shouted fiercely, "Get off your bicycle." I thought that they could be plainclothes policemen. It was possible that the old lady reported me. I was not scared in this situation, and Master's Fa teaching about using righteous thoughts to freeze perpetrators came to my mind immediately. Right away, I started to send strong righteous thoughts, "Freeze!"
When I looked at them again, they were standing there, like wooden posts, not moving a muscle. I continued to ride my bicycle and passed between them smoothly. After I was far enough away, I turned my head and watched them. They were still standing there without moving. A thought came in my mind that I could not let them stop moving forever. Therefore, I send another thought, "Release!" Right after the thought, both of them turned to look at me.
Under the merciful protection of Master, I safely returned home. I thought if I had been an ordinary person, those two men could easily have caught me with one step forward. It is very important to have righteous thoughts at such critical times.
Through this incident, I realized that cultivators must believe in Master and Dafa, and firmly study the Fa. In such a way, we can maintain strong righteous thoughts while spreading truth-clarifying materials and won't be taken advantage of by the evil. Righteous thoughts at such a critical time come from serious and diligent Fa-study. However, it is also true that in our human dimension, we should pay attention to our safety. We must not be stubborn or negligent.
