Ms. Chen Xue Persecuted by Officials at the College of Information Science and Engineering, Central South University

(Clearwisdom.net) Persecution incidents at Fujian University of Technology in Fujian Province were exposed on the Minghui website in early July 2007. This incident affected Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chen Xue. Many practitioners outside of China phoned Fujian University officials to persuade them to stop persecuting Falun Gong. At the same time, practitioners mailed them a great deal of truth-clarification literature. However, these officials did not believe the principle that good will be rewarded with good and evil with evil, and regarded the practitioners' good intentions as harassment. The officials not only did not repent, and even persecuted practitioners further.

Ms. Chen Xue was a faculty member of Fujian University of Technology and was also studying for an on-the-job master's degree at Central South University in Changsha City, Hunan Province. She is presently preparing to orally defend her master's thesis. In early September, Fujian University of Technology faxed a "punishment decision document" regarding Ms. Chen Xue to the College of Information Science and Engineering at Central South University. In late September Ms. Chen received a formal notice from Central South University, informing her that they would not accept her degree application for the oral defense segment.

In late November 2006, Ms. Chen Xue clarified the facts of the staged "Tiananmen Square Self-immolation" incident and told her students during class recess about the tide of millions of people quitting the CCP. For this, someone reported her, and Fujian Provincial Education Working Committee Party Secretary Chen Hua ordered the leaders of Fujian University of Technology to transfer her from her teaching position to administrative work. On December 29, 2006, officials from the Jinan District National Security Team arrested her. Because she refused to write a guarantee statement, the authorities detained her for 15 days. After she returned to the school, Fujian University of Technology officials continued to persecute her. They announced that she did not pass the previous academic year's evaluation exam and committed a serious administrative error. This is why they arbitrarily deducted total 15,000 yuan from her salary month by month.

Urged by officials at Fujian University of Technology and pressured by the CCP's implication policy, officials at the College of Information Science and Engineering in Central South University participated in persecuting Ms. Chen Xue. The university's administrators have now informed Ms. Chen that she is not allowed to graduate due to her failing to pass the "political investigation." In addition, she has to bear all the tuition costs that would normally be reimbursed to her.
