The Body of Deng Wenyang, a Practitioner from Shanhaiguan District of Qinhuangdao City, Is Cremated (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Deng Wenyang was a practitioner from the Shanhaiguan Area of Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. He was in his thirties and an employee of the Shanhaiguan Bridge Factory. In 1999, Mr. Deng refused to renounce Falun Gong, and as a result he was sentenced to three years of forced labor. He was sent to the Kaiping District Forced Labor Camp, where he was brutally tortured. He was then transferred to the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp, where he was also tortured. On August 15, 2007, Mr. Deng was arrested again. On August 30, 2007, the police sent him to a labor camp and declared that they would "transform" him within two weeks. However, Mr. Deng didn't pass the physical examination, so the labor camp refused to accept him and sent him home. Less than a month later, on September 26, 2007, Zhao Ran, Director of the Shanhaiguan Police Department, along with Zhang Deyue, Director of the 610 Office, along with over 30 police officers, broke into Mr. Deng's home and arrested him yet again. On October 8, 2007, he was tortured to death in the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp in Baoding City, Hebei Province. The labor camp officials gave Mr. Deng's family two choices. Make a secret deal or file a lawsuit. His family hired a lawyer to try and seek justice for Mr. Deng. However, the labor camp refused to disclose any information about Mr. Deng's death. They forced Mr. Deng's case to be processed and closed quickly. His family had to give their signatures and consent to his cremation.

Mr. Deng was handcuffed until his death, and his testicles were stained with blood. He was sent to a hospital under the Army's 38th Infantry Unit for emergency treatment. However, the hospital refused to provide any of Mr. Deng's treatment documents. When Mr. Deng's life was in danger, his family was not notified or allowed to see him before he passed away.
