Inner Mongolia Practitioner Mr. Hou Weiguo's Persecution Account

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Hou Weiguo is an ex-employee of the Fire Team of Senlin Public Security Bureau in Yakeshi City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

In March 2000, the Bureau Chief Lin Haiqing, Deputy Bureau Chief Li Shengli and Sun Jie from the National Protection Team tried to force him to give up Falun Gong. After Mr. Hou declared that he would persevere in his cultivation and live by the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance", he was forced to leave his job.

On January 1, 2002, Mr. Hou traveled to Tiananmen Square to appeal on behalf of Falun Dafa and clarify the truth. But while there, the police illegally arrested him and he was sent to the Public Security Bureau in Pinggu County where criminals poured ice-cold water onto his body. On January 4, Mr. Hou was taken back to Yakeshi City and illegally imprisoned at the Senlin Detention Center, where he remained until May 12, 2002. On that date he was sentenced to two years of forced labor at the Tumuji Labor Camp in Zhalaite Flag, Xing'an Meng, Inner Mongolia.

On May 19, 2002 (April 8, 2002 in Chinese Lunar Calendar), prison guard Zhang Yaguang threatened Mr. Hou, "We'll "transform" you--even if you refuse to do so, we'll force you. Even if we don't kill you, we'll strip you of three layers of skin." Zhang, along with Liu Baojun and Cheng Qiang brutally beat him until his blood covered the ground and walls. Throughout his term, the Tumuji Labor Camp guards used violence, and attempted to brainwash and "transform" him. Guard Cheng Qiang once grabbed his head and repeatedly slammed it against the wall.

Under the physical and mental torture, his body suffered severe injuries, scabies covered his body, and he could not walk down the stairs without help. As a result of the persecution and imprisonment of Mr. Hou, his grief-stricken father passed away. Mr. Hou was released on October 4, 2003 and his current whereabouts are unknown.
