Ms. Qin Yueling and Ms. Cheng Xiue Sentenced to Three Years by the Zhangjiakou City Court

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Qin Yueling, 50, and Ms. Cheng Xiu'e, 70, both practitioners from Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, were sentenced to three years in prison by the Qiaxi Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Court of Zhangjiakou City. Ms. Cheng was allowed to serve her term outside of prison.

On the evening of May 12, 2007, the Xinhuajie and Mingdenan Police Stations of the Qiaoxi District, Zhangjiakou City sent out several police cars and many officers to arrest 12 practitioners who were studying in Ms. Cheng Xiu'e's house, many of whom were senior citizens. On May 17, the Xinhuajie Police Station sent out three police cars to arrest Ms. Cheng. She was detained in Shisanli Detention Center of Zhangjiakou City for many days. Except for Ms. Cheng, the other practitioners were gradually released.

On June 4, 2007, police from the CCP's Qiaoxi and Mingde Police Departments again arrested practitioners Ms. Fu Guiju and Ms. Qin Yueling from their homes. They were taken away to Shisanli Detention Center in Zhangjiakou City, despite the fact that they had not yet recovered from effects of their previous incarcerations.

On June 18, 2007, Ms. Fu Guiju died in the detention center from brutal force feeding (see report: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2007/6/29/87180.html). Ms. Cheng passed out while being physically abused on June 16, 2007. To avoid responsibility, the authorities released her, claiming she was waiting for her trial.

On August 24, 2007, Qiaoxi Court tried Ms. Qin. At the same time, they arrested Ms. Cheng, who was very frail from being ill-treated and facing trial.

On August 30, 2007, Qiaoxi Court of Zhangjiakou City sentenced Ms. Qin and Ms. Cheng to three years in prison using fabricated evidence that the two were "organizing a cult and sabotaging the execution of law."
