Recent Account of Persecution at the Xindian Women's Forced Labor Camp in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Due to the recent 17th Party Congress, the visitation schedule at Xindian Women's Forced Labor Camp in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province was disrupted. The guards have been harassing the visiting family members and turned them away without granting visitation.

There were practitioners on long term hunger strikes and in critical condition in the labor camp. The labor camp authorities forced their family members to come from over a thousand li away to help persuade the practitioners to stop their hunger strikes and give up Falun Gong. If the family members failed in their efforts, the labor camp continued to "illegally imprison" the practitioners. Furthermore, they denied family visits the next day, which was an official visiting day. The families were not able to see their loved ones even though they had waited in the labor camp from 6:00 a.m. to noon.

Recently, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) had a meeting in Taiyuan City to intensify the persecution of practitioners. The labor camp again held a "intensive study session" for those practitioners who didn't give up Falun Dafa. It is actually a brainwashing session to try to force practitioners to give up their belief. The labor camp officials claimed that they would extend the terms of any practitioners that refused to give up the practice.
