Ms. Li Zhenglin from Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province Held in a Detention Center

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Li Zhenglin from Jiujiang City, Yongxiu County, Jiangxi Province, was illegally arrested and confined in the county detention center by CCP personnel. She started hunger strikes several times to protest the persecution. The authorities not only refused her family's requests to visit many times, but also claimed that her case had already been transferred to the city procuratorate.

Ms. Li Zhenglin is 50 years old. Because of her determination to practice Falun Gong, she has been jailed four times over the past eight years. Two out of the four times, she was detained in Majialong Forced Labor Camp in Jiujiang City and was subjected to severe physical and mental abuse.

On September 21, 2007, while Ms. Li was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in Tubu Town, Yongxiu County, she was reported by Yuan Rubin. Director of Tubu Police Station Zou Yinshui led other officers, including Ye Yi, to arrest her. They took her to the Yongxiu County detention center.

Li Zhenglin's younger brother is mentally disabled and cannot take care of himself. She used to take care of him all the time. Under her special care, his condition improved. However, after she was detained, nobody could take care of him any more and his condition worsened. He sustains himself by picking up food that other people throw away.
