Montreal, Canada: The Divine Land Marching Band Performs at Christmas Parade (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The Montreal Divine Land Marching Band, which was formed two months ago, participated in the Christmas Parade in Montreal on November 17. The band, consisting 120 Falun Gong practitioners, was one of the biggest entries in the parade.

More than 300,000 people watched the parade. They warmly welcomed the band and highly praised its performance.

Several Chinese people told reporters that they thought the band was professional and wonderful. The director of the band, Qiao Qi, said that she was proud to be a member of the band. She said: "We are Falun Gong practitioners. All of us have a wish to bring the beauty of Falun Dafa to people through the band."

Mr. Hong of Taiwan was amazed that the band was formed only two months ago, but the members cooperated very well so that the performances were very professional. Mr. Hong concluded that it was the power of Falun Dafa.

The band was formed in September. Its members are from Montreal, Ottawa and Quebec. So far the band has attended two public events. The first one was the Christmas parade in East Montreal last Friday. The organizers of that parade said the band's performance was "unbelievably good."

Mr. Li Zhili, a trumpet player, said: "During the eight-year-long persecution, Falun Gong practitioners have tried their best to clarify the truth. In last two years, many Divine Land Marching Bands have been formed all over the world. It is a good way to bring the beauty of Falun Dafa to the public, letting them know the truth about Falun Gong. Actually, more and more people have learned the truth and stepped out to condemn the persecution."
