Elderly Woman from Dengzhou City, Henan Province Persecuted for Refusing to Give Up Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) Several years ago I was injured at my workplace, resulting in eleven fractured ribs and pressure on the nerves of my spine (my injury was classified as a seventh degree work injury in China.) The injury caused me to develop a 90-degree humpback, cervical spondylosis, residential defect from a left arm fracture and gallstones. Medical experts at the "304" Hospital in Beijing examined me and told me that I would eventually become paralyzed from the lower waist down due to the pressure caused by the fracture.

At the time, I felt I would be better off dead. I was overcome with agony day and night, and I cried all day long. While I was feeling that I could no longer go on, a friend of mine introduced me to Falun Gong.

After I started practicing Falun Gong, all my illnesses disappeared. I then recalled what it was like to be without illness. I now no longer have a hump in my back, and my entire head of gray hair has become black again. My blood pressure and blood lipid levels are as good as those of a young woman. My workplace no longer has to pay over 10,000 yuan per year for my medical treatments. I have been practicing Falun Gong for eleven years, since January 1996. It means that Falun Gong has saved over 100,000 yuan for the Chinese taxpayers (and this is just the out-patient portion of my medical expenses and does not include hospitalization treatments).

Given my health condition before I began practicing Falun Gong, I would have died by now if it hadn't been for Falun Gong!

Since Jiang Zemin and his henchmen started to suppress Falun Gong without cause on July 20, 1999, I have been unlawfully imprisoned twice because I refused to renounce or give up the practice. On September 10, 2007, the wicked police from Nanyang and Dengzhou City unlawfully ransacked my home while I was visiting my relatives. They stole many of my personal belongings, including cash and bank certificates. According to an insider, the police accused me of being a Falun Gong coordinator and planned to sentence me to seven years in prison.

I am a 75-year-old woman. Just because I refuse to give up my belief in Falun Gong and I want to follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance to become a better person, the Chinese Communist regime plans to sentence me to seven years in prison. Let me ask a question: Which country in the world has this type of law?! Does any article in the Chinese Constitution justify such treatment?

I am now forced to leave my home and go into hiding. Nevertheless, my family, relatives and friends continue to suffer from severe harassment by the police. My family's mobile phones and my home phone were tapped. My family's lives and work are frequently interrupted by the police. They are unable to lead normal lives. Hence, they are severely traumatized.

The Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) latest persecution against me was prompted by the upcoming 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and the 17th National People's Congress. The CCP has been continually running a nationwide suppression of Falun Gong. My story represents but the tip of an iceberg, as there are numerous other families suffering from the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong in China. As of October 13, 2007, the CCP continues its persecution against me. The police continue to watch my children in hope of catching me.

I hereby call upon all the righteous people around the world to pay attention to the CCP's persecution of me, as well countless other Falun Gong practitioners in China.
