(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of November 2, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners from around the world held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese General Consulate to commemorate those practitioners who were persecuted to death by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They also called for public attention to the persecution in China and called for help to stop the CCP's eight-year-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong.

Falun Gong practitioners call for justice and conscience to stop the CCP's persecution

Falun Gong practitioners lighted candles in front of the Chinese General Consulate. Some of them held banners worded, "Falun Dafa is great" and "Calling for an end to the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong."

Practitioner Zheng Lijuan said that practitioners from around the world, including Taiwan and Boston, gathered outside the consulate to protest the CCP's killing of innocent people who follow "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance," and to call for an immediate end to the persecution. Ms. Zheng said, "I stand here, holding a banner, and send out kind thoughts, distribute truth-clarification literature to passers-by, and hope that they will practice Falun Gong in the future."

She continued, "More and more people have become awakened. We come here today to demonstrate to the world's people that Dafa practitioners steadfastly and continuously explain the facts [of the persecution] in a peaceful and rational manner. We hope that more Chinese people will come to understand the grace of Falun Dafa, will learn about Dafa and help rescue those practitioners being persecuted in China."

Dr. Kuo Chun-nan, a family doctor from Taiwan, said, "Since I began practicing Falun Gong, I have made a big change. I formerly did not like to listen to other people's opinions. I have become peaceful and kind after practicing Falun Gong. I practiced other types of Qigong before, but only after practicing Falun Gong did I become healthy. In managing hospital departments, I can now accommodate different needs and opinions. My family has become more harmonious."

Dr. Kuo hoped that people in mainland China will awaken and no longer be deceived by the CCP. He said he came to San Francisco to help eliminate misunderstanding in people's minds and the interference of evil factors behind the persecution in other dimensions.

Practitioner Maria from Boston said that CCP thugs used to interfere with practitioners when they came to send righteous thoughts in front of the Chinese Consulate years before, but nowadays Chinese people greeted her. She thought that it is very important for Chinese people, especially those working for the CCP, to know about the CCP's crimes against Falun Gong practitioners. She said that many people across the world support Falun Gong.

Practitioner Zhang Hong from the San Francisco Bay Area said that she used to have a gastric ulcer and lung illness and she took sixty tablets of medicine every day. After practicing Falun Gong, she became very healthy. Many people do not know that Falun Gong practitioners follow "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance" and that the practice can help improve social morality. The five sets of exercises have a marvelous effect in healing and fitness.

Practitioners said that almost every day some practitioners come to the Chinese Consulate to direct people's attention to the CCP's 8-year-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. For eight years, Falun Gong practitioners have kept up their truth-clarification efforts and live according to "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance." They hope that kind-hearted people will offer help in safeguarding justice.
