Officers from the 610 Office in Mengyang Town, Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province Brutally Beat Mr. Zhuang Chenglin

(Clearwisdom.net) Officers from the 610 Office and the Regional Administration Office of Mengyang Town, Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province, brutally beat four Falun Dafa practitioners simply because they read a truth-clarification flyer.

At around 7 p.m. on January 24, 2000, police officer Jiang Faquan broke into the home of Mr. Zhuang Chenglin, a teacher at Beijie Elementary School, and forced him to go to the Administrative Office. Because Mr. Zhuang refused to answer any questions from the 610 Office, he was badly beaten. Bai Meichun, the head of the town government, first slapped Mr. Zhuang. Then Zheng Hongming, Chen Benlin, Jiang Faquan, Chen Shanqi, and others proceeded to punch and kick Mr. Zhuang. When the officers became tired, they made Mr. Zhuang lay flat on the floor and they knelt on his body. The police had Mr. Zhuang take off his pants and lay down with his arms stretched out. Another group of officers then whipped Mr. Zhuang with bamboo and wooden sticks on the buttocks and all over his body. Five or six police officers took turns hitting Mr. Zhuang with these sticks. His body was covered with cuts and bruises afterwards.

Because there were a lot of people standing by watching, they dragged Mr. Zhuang into another room and turned off the light. Then, seven or eight police officers beat Mr. Zhuang simultaneously. When the first group of officers grew tired, the other group would continue. They changed shifts four or five times.

At around 11:30 p.m., the retina of Mr. Zhuang's right eye became detached from the beating and he could no longer see clearly. At around 12:20 a.m., Mr. Zhuang's suffered a gash to the head that was two inches long, and blood gushed out

About midnight, people from the 610 Office again broke into Mr. Zhuang's home and ransacked it. His mother and neighbors were shocked. The police took away some funeral music tapes but did not get any of the other things they were looking for.

Before Mr. Zhuang was allowed to go home, the police ordered him to take off the bloody clothes and leave them behind. The next day, they police forced his family to pay 1,000 yuan without giving them a receipt.

On the evening of January 24, 2000, practitioner Zhang Bangxian from Bei Street was illegally fined 3,000 "yuan." Tang Fayu from Caihong Village was taken to the Administrative Office. Qiao Lijun whipped practitioner Tang Fayu with bamboo sticks and extorted 1,000 yuan from her. The next day, practitioner Xin Xianzhen from Qi Village, Mengyang Town, was subjected to abuse and forced to pay the police 3,000 yuan.
