The Untimely Deaths of Two Officials Who Persecuted Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

1. The Sudden Death of Ge Hongsheng, a Public Security Director of a Mine in Tangshan City

Ge Hongsheng, male, around 50 years old, was previously the director of the public security subdivision at Kailuan Zhaoge Village Mine of Tangsgan City. He later transferred to the Public Security Department of Kailuan (located in the city of Tangshan) in early 2006. Since the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Dafa began on July 20, 1999, Ge Hongsheng actively participated. All the cases of Dafa practitioners who were illegally detained or sent to the brainwashing center in Kailuan Zhaoge Village Mine were approved by Ge Hongsheng.

In the autumn of 2006, about six months after Ge redeployed to the Kailuan Public Security Department, Ge experienced chest pain while driving. He then let another person drive the car. He said in the car that he felt sick. After getting out of the car, the driver found that Ge could not even stand up. Upon taking him to a hospital, it was discovered that he had already died. The sudden death was caused by a heart attack.

According to those familiar with him, usually he was in excellent health. However, he died so fast! Even those who participated in the persecution of Dafa practitioners said: "He received karmic retribution due to his persecution of Falun Gong."

2. Yang Lianwen, Political Commissar of the Patrol Unit of Panjin City, Died within Three Months of Being Diagnosed with Gastric Cancer

Yang Lianwen was previously the political commissar of the patrol unit in Panjin City. Ever since the CCP started the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, Yang was repeatedly involved in arresting local Dafa practitioners. He has participated many times in arresting Dafa practitioners in Beijing, which usually kept him there for a month at a time. Once when he came back from his Beijing trip, he said that he had come upon a family of three practicing the Falun Gong sitting meditation on a lawn. The child was only about four years old. Yang kicked the child very hard, knocking the child against a tree. However, he said the child continued to do the sitting meditation as if nothing had happened. Yang himself even said that the child was amazing. Later on, the family of three was arrested. Yang stressed his pleasure in this experience and that he felt no guilt about what he had done.

At the end of 2004, Yang Lianwen finally got the position of team leader.

However, in March 2005, before he could even get comfortable in his new position, a physical examination revealed that he had advanced gastric cancer. All the treatment he received in Beijing's best hospitals was ineffective. He died at only 49 years old, three months after being diagnosed with the disease.
