In a Few Words: Focus Effort and Improve Efficiency
(Clearwisom.net) I always feel that I spend too little time in doing the
three things, especially studying the Fa and doing the exercises. I
sometimes find a tiny bit of time to do these two things, just to say I did
them. One day, I was doing housework. Suddenly, an idea jumped into my mind,
"Why don't I finish all housework in a set amount of time?" So I told
myself I would finish all housework in 20 minutes. As a result, I really
finished it in that time. From this, I realized that we can plan and control our time. If I do not have
a conscious intention to finish the work in a short time, I may spend one hour,
even two hours on it. That is time wasted that I could actually use to do the
three things. I wasted so much time like this, and as result, didn't have time
to do the three things well. I used to have an incorrect notion. I thought there was no need to do trivial
things well, such as housework. It seemed I could apparently do the three things
very seriously with this kind of comparison. However, since I was not serious in
doing trivial things, I was tardy and my efficiency was very low, which directly
affected my studying the Fa and practicing the exercises. Now, whenever I do something, I concentrate on it and finish it with great
efficiency. I calm down, plan my time well and make full use of every minute. In
this way, I am able to save more time to do the three things. In the final analysis, my attachments to curiosity, being meddlesome, and
having a desire for comfort made trouble for me. As long as we eliminate these
attachments, the interfering evil forces will lose their strength, their air to
breathe, and will finally suffocate and die.
