We Should Not Discriminate When Saving Sentient Beings

(Clearwisdom.net) Master has told us in the Fa that during the Fa-rectification, he looks only at the thought that comes from sentient beings when they encounter Dafa. I think that as Dafa practitioners we should do the same thing. In saving sentient beings, we should put off all the human notions and sentimentalities. We must have the compassionate thoughts of saving them regardless of sentimentalities and not let anyone with a predestined relationship pass us by. By clarifying the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong and by advising them to quit the Chinese Communist Party, we are giving them an opportunity to choose a future for themselves. With pure and strong righteous thoughts, we can reinforce these people and help them to make the right choice.

I was enlightened to the fact that those who have predestined relationships have all been arranged in the different environments in which we live and are waiting to be saved by us. As long as we maintain righteous thoughts and keep saving people in mind, we will encounter the sentient beings that we are to save.

In July I went to visit my cousin who lives in a village. Because he has had many problems in his life, my relatives rarely keep in contact with him. One time he got drunk and smashed everything in the house. His mother (my aunt) became very sick, but they had no money to get treatment for her. My cousin left home for a long time and his wife did not want to take care of my aunt. She locked all the cabinets and stopped giving her food. My aunt ended up starving to death. Since then, all of our relatives have just pretended that my cousin's family does not exist and also told me to ignore them. Because I am a practitioner, however, saving sentient beings is my mission here. Right, wrong, past favors, past hatreds--none of these things should be used as excuses for not saving them. As sentient beings, this is their only opportunity to decide their futures. Their good and bad karma can all be taken care of in the future, and as long as Dafa gives them an opportunity to be able to stay, they will have more chances in the future. As for consequences, both my cousin and his wife learned the truth and both quit the communist Party.

My cousin's father had abandoned my aunt to go to an urban area. In those years he did many bad things such as swindling people, and he also had other girlfriends. He called me one day and said that he wanted to see me. I knew that he was going to try to drag me into some business like pyramid sales or try to sell me something. My husband also thought that I should not go, but I told myself, "Dafa practitioner's minds cannot be moved and I cannot miss this opportunity to save him. I will not be moved by his material benefits and will not allow him to get me involved with such things. All I will do is directly try to save him." In the end, he accepted the materials and agreed to quit the Party.

Master said that all sentient beings are here for Dafa. In this final part of the Dharma-ending Period, everyone is born with karma built upon karma. Thus we should not really consider things such as how one is better than the other or how worthwhile it is to save one person compared to another. We should just listen to Master's words, put away all the human notions, and treat all sentient beings the same. In this way we will be able to achieve our prehistoric vows.
