Practitioner Ms. Hu Yuhuan from Jimo City, Shandong Province Sentenced to Labor Camp

Ms. Hu Yuhuan is a 41-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Jimo City, Shandong Province. About 10 AM on August 29, 2007, when she was passing by Aoshan Square, a patrol car stopped beside her. Two men got out of the car and forcibly took her to the Bianfang Police Station in Aoshan District, where she was interrogated.

At 9 AM on August 30, 2007, the Jimo City 610 Office incited the authorities from the Bianfang Police Station to take Ms. Hu to the Jimo City Police Department. About one hour later, she was taken to the Criminal Police Division in Jimo City. At about 3 PM, Zhou Xin, an officer from the 610 Office called Ms. Hu's husband. Zhou Xin said that Ms. Hu would be detained for one month and had been taken to the Dashan Detention Center. Later, officers from the 610 Office searched her home.

On September 17, Zhou Xin called Ms. Hu's husband again. He said that Ms. Hu had been sentenced to labor camp for one year and transferred to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City. At present, Ms. Hu is detained in the No. 4 Division.
