The Persecution of Ms. Song Weijue's Family from Shanghai

(Clearwisdom.net)

On the evening of November 8, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Song Weijue, her husband Mr. Zhu Fanli and their daughter were forcibly taken from their home by police officers from the Hongkou District Tilanqiao Police Station. Their daughter has now been released, but Ms. Song and Mr. Zhu are still being "illegally detained."

During the eight-year persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party, Ms. Song Weijue and her sister Ms. Song Weijuan have been arrested multiple times. They were illegally sentenced and have suffered brutal persecution.

Ms. Song Weijue Illegally Sentenced to Three and Half Years in Prison

Ms. Song Weijue is 50 years old. In 2001, she was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. She held hunger strikes to protest her unjust incarceration multiple times when she was detained in the Putuo Detention Center. In 2001, she was taken to Shanghai Women's Prison, where she was locked in solitary confinement for over one month because she refused to cooperate with the prison guards.

Ms. Song was under "strict monitoring" for a long time when she was detained in the "Special Discipline Division." Her health was seriously affected due to the lack of sleep from long-term torture. She was "transformed" in 2002 after an intensive brainwashing session in which she was tricked into admitting her "mistakes." Later she realized it was a trap and wrote an announcement stating her belief in Falun Dafa. As a result of her bravery, she suffered more brutal persecution at the hands of the guards in the "Special Discipline Division" of Group 5, including sleep deprivation. During this long period of mistreatment in prison, she suffered severe physical and mental torment and her physical condition worsened daily. However, she was still forced to clean out toilets with large metal buckets every day. When she was finally released, Ms. Song Weijue was so delirious, she didn't remember the way home. She has gradually recovered and returned to normal after a long period of time. (Please see related article http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2005/7/31/63445.html.)

During the three and a half years of her detention, her husband Mr. Zhu Fanli took care of their daughter by himself. She is still waiting to reunite with her parents.

Ms. Song Weijuan Given a Heavy Sentence of Ten and a Half Years

Ms. Song Weijie's sister, Ms. Song Weijuan, is a practitioner from Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. She used to work as a medical doctor in a hospital. Later she became a teacher in the Nantong City Nursing School. She was given a heavy sentence of ten and a half years. (Please see the following article for the detailed persecution facts of Ms. Song Weijuan: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2006/12/6/80595.html).

In the second half of 2005, the Public Security Bureau investigated Ms. Song Weijuan again and threatened to extend her sentence. During a long stint of forced labor with constant mental torture, she became extremely weak. Despite this, she hasn't received any medical treatment or given a chance to rest.

Ms. Song Weijuan is imprisoned in Nanjing Women's Prison. The prison authorities don't allow her family to visit her. They also don't provide her with regular meals. They have failed to give her medical treatment even though she clearly needs it. As a result, her whole body has become swollen, yet she is still forced to work more than ten hours every day.
