There has been no news about practitioner Mr. Jiang Zonglin since his arrest on August 2, 2007. Fuqing Police Station officer Pan, who was personally responsible for the arrest, claimed that the case had been transferred to higher authorities, and he knew nothing about Mr. Jiang's situation. On Thursday, when Jiang's relatives contacted him with their questions, he said that Jiang Zonglin was held at the Chendu Detention Center. He said officers from Wuhou District had arrested Jiang Zonglin several days prior. The family, though, has not received any legal documents or notice, and the clothes they have sent to Jiang Zonglin have been returned.
