By a Falun Dafa practitioner from Dalian City, Liaoning Province

(Clearwisdom.net) The authorities took my husband away to be persecuted, so several practitioners and I planned to visit him together. On our way there we all deeply realized the importance of solid self-cultivation, being responsible for the whole, and forming one body. The process of forming one body is the process of the evil dying out on its own.

Before we left, we shared about forming one body. We all realized the importance of forming one body based on the Fa. It was close to noon when we got there by car, so we discussed where we should eat. Based on his experience, the practitioner who was driving thought that there should be restaurants close to the "reform school" (brainwashing center). However, another practitioner and I didn't think there would be places to eat there, and argued that we should go to the nearby city to eat. The fellow practitioner who was driving insisted and we ended up going toward the brainwashing center. We did indeed find a restaurant, but it was quite expensive and we all thought that it was not suitable for us, so we left. Then we got into an argument again about whether we should look for another restaurant there or go to the nearby city to eat. This time I insisted on my view, so the fellow practitioner grudgingly drove to the nearby city. When we got there we did not immediately find a restaurant like I imagined. I felt very embarrassed and was afraid of being blamed by the fellow practitioner.

It was time for sending forth righteous thoughts and no one said anything afterwards. We were all thinking that, before we had even visited our fellow practitioner, we had we already fallen apart from the one body just because each of us insisted on our own opinions over the issue of where to eat.

The practitioner who was driving first searched within and found the attachment of considering himself as most experienced and wanting others to listen; he also realized that whether one is right or wrong itself is not important, but whether, in the process, one can cast aside the attachment to self to fulfill the whole and see how one's heart is moved, is what's most important. I also realized that it did not really matter where we ate, and that I should not have insisted on my own opinion and forced other practitioners to listen to me. The rest of the practitioners also searched within and thought about how their minds were moved. We soon got on the road again and very quickly found a restaurant that had a good price and a good location. We instantly felt the beauty of casting off the attachment to self and forming one body. We experienced Dafa's power after we searched within, firmly cultivated ourselves, and accepted responsibility for the whole.

As for the matter of visiting my husband, since we saw the result of not cooperating well through the trivial matter of deciding where to have lunch, we further realized the importance of forming one body and all of us shared our thoughts. We all strengthened the righteous thought that we would see our fellow practitioner no matter what. At the same time, we kept our minds compassionate. We understood that the fundamental principle of eliminating the evil and saving sentient beings was most important, and we shouldn't be attached to seeing our fellow practitioner - we must follow the principle of "gaining without pursuit."

When we got to the brainwashing center, the guard could not contact the captain inside because the phone was not working, so we used the extra time to send forth righteous thoughts and eliminate the evil. In a few moments, the guard was able to contact the captain. When the captain came out, I simply stated our request to visit my husband and the captain readily agreed, even though we had heard that this captain was a pretty evil person. Through this experience, we all felt that when our xinxing meets the high standard, and when we can cast off the attachment to self and form one body, the evil will be destroyed instantly.

I wrote down this experience to share with fellow practitioners. I hope that as we eliminate the attachment to self and become more responsible to the whole, we can truly form an indestructible one body.
