Ms. Qi Guiling Arrested by Yishui County Police; Family Member Beaten Trying to Visit

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Qi Guiling, from Fengtaizhuang Village of Yishui County, Shandong Province, was recently arrested by police officers. In the evening of September 3, 2007, Ms. Qi was arrested outside the Yaodianzi Police Station and a policeman slapped her and then handcuffed her. Afterwards, four or five policemen drove her to her home around 11:00 p.m. They illegally searched her place and confiscated her Falun Dafa books and some truth-clarifying materials. The police then dragged Ms. Qi and her sleeping husband, Mr. Zhang Yizhi, to the police squad-car and took them to the police station for the rest of the night. The next day, Ms. Qi and her husband were sent to the Yishui County Detention Center. (Ms. Qi's husband, Zhang Yizhi had been previously imprisoned for three years and he had just returned home a few days earlier.)

The police found 200 yuan in Mr. Zhang's pocket. One of the hundred dollar bills had the words "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance are good" written on it. The police officers took Mr. Zhang's money and also took 33 yuan from Ms. Qi's pocket. After ten days in detention, Mr. Zhang was released and Ms. Qi was sent to the Jinan Forced Labor Camp for further persecution after being detained at the Yishui County Detention Center for one month.

Ms. Qi's family inquired everywhere as to her whereabouts. After they found out where she was, her son went to visit her, taking some clothes for her with him. The prison guards refused to let him see her and told him that Ms. Qi was diagnosed with many illnesses during a physical exam. After returning home, Ms. Qi's son told Ms. Qi's mother about her conditions.

Ms. Qi's mother was very concerned about her daughter's condition. She asked Mr. Zhang to take her to Yaodianzi Police Station on November 28, 2007, because she wanted to ask the police about her daughter's situation. However, as soon as she told a policeman her intentions, the policeman told her to get out. The policeman also told another young policeman, "Get them out quickly - they are making a scene!"

The elderly lady cried remorsefully on the steps outside the police station but the police chased her off to an empty space in front of the door. He then returned and grabbed the elderly lady's daughter-in-law by her hair. The police dragged her into a room and beat her, and another police officer was told to watch her. In the room, the daughter-in-law tried to tell the police officer the truth and how good is rewarded with good, and evil is met with retribution. However, the police officer did not want to listen and tried to keep her from talking. After a while, her daughter-in-law was let go. As the elderly woman saw her daughter-in-law being beaten badly, she asked, "Why do you beat people?" The policeman replied mockingly, "Who is beating her? I don't know what you are talking about."
