Surviving a Disaster, Turning It To A Good Thing

Chen was a laid-off worker in a town in northeast Hubei Province. Once when he was riding a motorcycle, he fell from a high bridge to the hard stone abutment. The motorcycle crushed his legs.

Chen survived the accident, but nine of his ribs and his pelvis were broken, and his lower leg was broken in two. He was immediately sent to a hospital, where the doctor suggested an operation to cut open his chest to clean up and set his ribs, set his pelvis, and put screws in his shin bone. It altogether cost 4,000 yuan for treatment during his first four days in the hospital. After the accident itself, this was another burden for his poor family. Chen's wife is a Falun Dafa practitioner. She took Chen home from the hospital. The doctor said, "If he goes home, he will die. Even if he survives, he will still be disabled." Chen's wife said firmly, "He will not die. He will recover."

Chen's wife read Zhuan Falun to her husband every day at home. If she went out to work, she played Master's lecture audiotapes to him. Little by little, Chen's pain was alleviated, and he was able to move his broken feet, and even turn over. He began to feel better. On the sixth day, he had loose, black bowel movements the whole day. His wife knew it was because Master was purifying his body.

On the thirty-fifth day, Chen went to the doctor's home with a walking stick. The doctor was very surprised and wondered how he had recovered. Chen answered, "It was because I listened to Master Li's lectures about Falun Dafa." At 4 a.m. the next morning, Chen and his wife practiced the five sets of exercises together. After a hundred days at home, Chen found two part-time jobs, and paid the hospital for his medicine and treatment.

Chen survived the big disaster, which was turned into a good thing for him. Those who know this all regard it as a great miracle.

By a practitioner in Liaoning Province

A judicial administrative assistant in a town in Liaoning Province has frequent contacts with Dafa practitioners and understands the truth about Falun Dafa.

On a day in mid November after it snowed, he went up on the roof of his house to clear away the snow. As he reached the top of the ladder, he missed his footing and fell to the ground. The first thing he said after getting up was, "It is Master Li who saved me." His wife, who was an eyewitness, also thanked Master Li for saving her husband's life. She said, "It is miraculous that a 50-year-old man was still all right after falling from such a tall roof. It is Master Li who prevented a disaster for us."

The assistant often helped practitioners through his position and had declared that he would quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. This is another example of having good fortune after understanding the truth of Falun Dafa.

At about 9 p.m. on December 31, 2005, my husband was hurrying home on a bike after work. When he got to an intersection, a taxi suddenly appeared out of nowhere, driving at high speed, and knocked him down. It collided with him and hit him very hard. My husband was knocked over, fell on the front hood of the car, and then dropped to the ground right in front of the front wheel. He then felt that a force suddenly pushed him away from the wheel about seven or eight meters forward.

The driver and passenger inside the taxi were scared to death. The passenger hastily asked the driver to take my husband to a hospital. My husband got up from the ground and thought, "There is nothing wrong with me." Then the driver came over and said to my husband:,"Let's go to a hospital so they can look at you." My husband answered, "There is nothing wrong with me. There is no need to go to a hospital." Then the driver took out some cash and tried to give it to my husband to buy some medicine. My husband refused to take the money.

When others helped pull the bicycle out from under the taxi, they found that the bicycle was not broken, and was still in good condition. Not only was the bicycle intact after the accident, my husband had no dirt on his clothes. However, the car's headlights were broken into pieces that flew over five or six meters away. The car's license plate in the front was knocked off, too

My husband has read Zhuan Falun and already knows how to be a good person. He supports my practice very much and often protests the injustices inflicted upon Falun Dafa. When he met with some dangerous things, it was our Master and Dafa that saved him. He again testifies to the wonderfulness of Dafa.
