After Being Interrogated and Tortured, Mr. Ren Baokun from Zhuozhou City Was Sentenced to Forced Labor
(Clearwisdom.net) On October 12, 2007, Ren Baokun, a Falun Gong
practitioner, was illegally detained by the Zhuozhou City Public
Security Bureau. On October 31, he was sentenced to forced labor for
one-and-a-half years by the Communist Party Labor Camp Management Committee in
Baoding City. At around 7:00 p.m. on October 12, when Mr. Ren Baokun and Mr. Liu Wen were
watching a Falun Gong DVD at Ms. Xing Junhua's home, they were arrested by
agents from the Zhuozhou Public Security Bureau. Later, the perpetrators
detained Mr. Ren in the Zhuozhou City Police Department, where he was subjected
to the iron chair torture for five days and six nights without being
allowed to move. Police officer Wang Hongen slapped Ren Baokun's face without stopping over 20
times. Mr. Ren bled from his mouth and nose. His mouth was severely injured and
his ears rang as a result of the beating. Two or three days later, both his ears
turned purple and black. Wang also covered his mouth with a towel so that Mr.
Ren was unable to breathe or speak. Ren Baokun was tortured so badly that he
shivered all over. On the evening of October 17, he was detained in Zhuozhou
Detention Center. When he protested by going on a hunger strike, the police
force-fed him twice. On November 25, 2005, He Xuejian from the Zhuozhou City's Dongchengfang Area
Security Office raped two female practitioners his mother's age in public. After
this incident, Mr. Ren Baokun, along with practitioners from Beijing, went to
the home of Ms. Liu Jizhi, one of the victims, to document the evidence so that
the crimes could be exposed. After He Xuejian was put in jail, Liu Jizhi's case
was still not resolved. Ms. Liu Jizhi agreed that Mr. Ren would appeal to Hebei
Superior Court on behalf of her husband. Although the Superior Court accepted
this case, still no decision has been handed down. Meanwhile, Ren Baokun's
righteous action became an excuse for those in charge to torture him. On November 20, 2007 Posting date: 12/19/2007 |
