(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 25 cities or counties in 14 provinces. In this report, 13 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 36 practitioners were "illegally arrested."
1. [Jilin Province] Mr. Yu Hailing Detained in Jiutai Forced Labor Camp
On October 13, 2007, Mr. Yu Hailing was taken into custody at his place of employment. He was sentenced to forced labor or one-and-a-half years. On November 6, 2007, he was transferred to Jiutai Forced Labor Camp. The officer in charge of this case is Xiao Bin (male).
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Jinghuan Taken into Custody
At about 7 a.m. on November 16, 2007, when Mr. Sun Jinghuan had taken his child halfway to school, the director of the Baiyun Street Nieghborhood Administration, along with a group of officers, took him into custody. He was taken to the Fushun City Brainwashing Class and detained.
3. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Song Aichang Taken to Court
From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on October 26, 2007, Mr. Song Aichang, a Falun Gong practitioner and a senior engineer of the Shijiazhuang City No. 13 Institute, was brought to court.

5. [Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Shaohua and Other Practitioners Sentenced to Forced Labor
Ms. Li Shaohua, Ms. Kong Fengying and Ms. Cheng Shuirong, practitioners from the Zhaoqing City, were sentenced to a labor camp for one-and-a-half years. They were taken to the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp and have been mistreated.
6. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Feng Guiqin Still Detained
On October 12, 2007, Ms. Feng Guiqin, a 56-year-old Falun Gong practitioner, was taken into custody by officers of the Bukui Police Station, under the Jianhua Police Department in Qiqihar City. They seized Dafa books and her computer without a warrant. She is detained in the No. 1 Detention Center and being mistreated.

7. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Six Practitioners of Southwest Science and Technology University Taken into Custody
After a practitioner from Jiangyou City was persecuted to death, six practitioners of Southwest Science and Technology University were taken into custody. They may be brought to court. Also, another practitioner from the Youxian District, Mianyang City, was taken into custody.
In 2003, officers took eight practitioners of the China Academy of Engineering Physics into custody from the Mianyang City Science Block. Their homes were searched. Among them, six practitioners were sentenced to prison. As of now, one practitioner has been detained in the Mianyang City Detention Center for five years.
8. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Jinsheng Mistreated in Handan Forced Labor Camp for Two Years
Mr. Zhang Jinsheng, a 50-year-old practitioner, was sentenced to forced labor by the local 610 Office. He has been detained in Handan Forced Labor Camp for two years. Due to the persecution, his wife has become utterly exhausted physically and mentally. She became emaciated and developed edema in both legs. She is being hospitalized for treatment.

On November 9, 2007, Ms. Bai, a practitioner from Heilongjiang Province, was taken into custody by officers of the Taiyuan City Police Department, Wanbailin Police Department and Pingnan Road Police Station.
13. [Chongqing City] Mr. Zhang Yinming and His Wife Taken into Custody
Mr. Zhang Yinming is a staff member of the Power Supply Section in Huangjueping Street, Chongqing City. On the night of September 28, 2007, he was taken into custody at his home by police officers. His wife was taken into custody but released several days later.
14. [Hanzhong City, Shanxi Province] Three Practitioners Taken into Custody When Clarifying the Truth in Chenggu County
Ms. Wang Yunying, 72 years old, is an retired staff member of the Gas and Electricity No. 3 Bureau. Ms. Wang Suyun, 69 years old, is a retired teacher in Chenggu City. Ms. Jin Caihua, 56 years old, is a retired staff member of the No. 2 Plant. On November 12, 2007, they were clarifying the truth in the Nanshahe Area, Chenggu County. Guards of the security office in the Nanshahe Area reported them to the police. The three were taken into custody and detained in Chenggu County Detention Center.

17. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Guodong, Mr. Tong Huanxiang, and Mr. Bi Jiankai Sentenced to Forced Labor
At about 7 a.m. on November 15, 2007, Mr. Zhang Guodong, Mr. Tong Huanxiang, and Mr. Bi Jiankai were transferred to Zhangqiu Forced Labor Camp by authorities of the Gao District Police Department in Weihai City. Their families were not notified. It is said that they will be sentenced to forced labor for three years.
18. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] The Home of Ms. Liu Jianmei Searched
On September 19, 2007, officers of the Jiacun Township 610 Office searched the home of Ms. Liu Jianmei, a practitioner from Dongxin Village, Jiacun Township. They seized a dual cassette player, a VCD player, a satellite dish, a satellite receiver, three pieces of blank magnetic tapes, and a switch without a warrant. Her 70-year-old father-in-law was extremely frightened. As a result, he was hospitalized for more than ten days with an IV and had to spend more than 600 yuan on treatment. Also, they seized a satellite dish, a satellite receiver, and a Teacher's photo from the home of Ms. Su Yunhua.

They were reported to the police and taken into custody. Mr. Qiao Liang escaped with righteous thoughts. Ms. Cai Hong was transferred to Hanchuan City No. 2 Detention Center, where she remains.

23. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Lige Taken into Custody
At about 9 a.m. on November 16, 2007, Ms. Wang Lige went to the ID office in the Linghe District to have an ID photo taken. The officers of the ID office seized her and took her to the "110 Patrol Police" office. At 7 p.m. that evening, she was taken to the Jinzhou City No. 2 Detention Center. After Detention Center authorities refused to accept her, the officers took her to the Police Hospital in Jinzhou City. At about 8 p.m., Ms. Wang was again taken to the Detention Center again and detained.
24. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ge Shujuan Taken into Custody
On November 1, 2007, Ms. Zhao Shuhuan and Ms. Ge Shujuan, practitioners from Laixi City, were taken into custody in the Binhe District. Presently, they are being held in the Laixi City Detention Center. Ms. Ge's child is still in school. Her parents are ill and need attention.
25. [Shanghai City] Mr. Qiu Nanping and His Wife Ms. Wei Lijun Taken into Custody
On November 8, 2007, Mr. Qiu Nanping and his wife, Ms. Wei Lijun, practitioners from the Yangpu District, were reported to police when they were clarifying the truth. They were taken into custody on their way to their work by local officers. Presently, their whereabouts are unknown.

On the morning of October 26, 2007, Mr. Li Shoudong and his wife, both staff members of the Weifang City Paper Factory, were taken into custody downstairs in their home apartment by officers of the Weifang City Police Department. The officers also seized cash and Dafa books from their home.
