Jiang Jianxue Injured as a Result of Persecution at the Beijing Women's Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Jiang Jianxue from Beijing has suffered intensified persecution at the Beijing Women's Labor Camp for refusing to give up Falun Gong. She was forced to sit on high benches for long periods of time, until both her legs were numb and she could not walk properly.

At around noon on April 6, 2006, policeman Song Shangqian from the Yuegezhuang Police Station brought three plainclothes policemen from the Fengtai District Public Security Bureau to Ms. Jiang's home. They illegally searched the house without displaying a warrant. Ms. Jiang was taken away and detained in the Fengtai District Detention Center that night. Jiang's mother fell ill immediately after this incident from anxiety and fear. The police then forbade her family members from visiting her.

Ms. Jiang was sentenced to serve time at the Beijing Women's Labor Camp, where she was pressured to give up Falun Gong. She was forced to stand in the same posture for long periods of time, sit on high benches for long periods of time without her feet touching the ground, and subjected to sleep deprivation. After a period of time, Ms. Jiang started to feel numbness and pain below her chest. Her buttocks festered and oozed pus, and she could not stand up straight. It was clear that she was badly injured.

Under the prolonged physical and mental torture, Ms. Jiang developed insomnia and signs of delirium. She could only sleep after being injected with drugs and she appeared to show signs of an impending collapse. Doctors recommended nutritional supplements for her, but the leader of the Eighth Team refused to provide anything other than milk powder for her.

Currently, Ms. Jiang is being held in the Eighth Division of the Beijing Women's Labor Camp. The two division leaders are surnamed Dong and Jia.
