(Clearwisdom.net) On December 15, 2007, nearly 1,000 people from a number
of groups in Sydney held a rally in Balmore Park despite the scorching sun. They
held banners and sign boards, conveying messages in support of the 30 million
Chinese people inside and outside China who have quit the Chinese Communist
Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. Stephen Sim, well-known radio host in Sydney Michael Darby, Australian linguist and poet Display of truth-clarification boards in Chinatown Tracy de Geer, Sydney representative from the Universal Peace
Federation in Australia Former Chinese diplomat Chen Yonglin Truth clarifying display boards draw the attention of
passersby Rally supporting 30 million people quitting the CCP Speakers at the rally included radio host Stephen Sim, former Chinese
diplomat Chen Yonglin, Australian MP Kerry, Green Party MP representative
Christine Donayre, Tracy de Geer from the Australian Universal Peace Federation,
and Scott Chen from the Australian Service Center for Quitting the CCP. Radio Host Calls on People to Raise Awareness Stephen Sim, a well-known radio host in Sydney, said that serious human
rights abuses are taking place in China, and that he opposed the Olympic Games
being held under the CCP's rule. He said that 30 million brave people have quit
the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Mr. Sim said to the audience,
"We're here blessed to live in this country, we need to do something about
what is happening in China today, because to do nothing and stay in the back,
makes you as guilty as the perpetrators. We get to help these people." Mr.
Sim said that many Falun Gong practitioners have been removed from their homes,
taken away from their jobs, thrown into labor camps or even lost their lives for
persevering in their belief. He believes that many cheap goods sold at Two
Dollar Shops are products that might have been made by people who are enslaved
in China's forced labor camps. The detainees are forced to work, tortured and
even raped. He called on people to raise awareness with their friends and
families, mayors and MPs in their local areas and federal government, and
everyone else they encounter. He reminded the audience, "What is happening in China today is horrible,
it's genocide, it must be stopped. I want you to do your bit, I want you to
speak to the world, I want everybody to be mindful, so that one day China and
its people will be free and share the sunshine that we so openly and so proudly
have in this country." Australian Linguist Calls for the Olympics to be Held in a Free Country Michael Darby, a linguist and poet, spoke in Chinese at the rally. He called
on the Australian people to see clearly the CCP's crimes, refuse to buy products
that might be made by slave labor in China and boycott the Beijing Olympics. He
said that the CCP has caused the deaths of 80 million Chinese people, which is
intolerable and unpardonable. We should oppose the CCP trampling upon human
rights and reject products made by slave labor in China's concentration camps.
We should tell the Australian government that the Olympics are meant to be held
in a free country. He conveyed a strong message at the end of his speech: Quit
the Communist Party. Representative for Universal Peace Federation Calls on People to Work
Together to Stop the Persecution of Falun GongTracy de Geer, Sydney
representative for the Universal Peace Federation, said that the present
dictatorial government in China is doomed to collapse. Ms. Geer said, "If
you do good things, good things come back to you. If you show compassion, you
live by truth, honesty and right things, you live by unselfish love, then good
things will come to you. If you abuse others, if you torture others, torture
will come to your children and grandchildren. ...Please wake up for the sake of
your children and grandchildren, ...so your children and grandchildren would
want to be proud of what you did today." "History is looking at you.
You are no exception." "As a system of cooperation and mutual benefits
for all people comes into play, everyone can find prosperity, everyone can find
happiness, we are all part of one family, when one person suffers, we all
suffer." Ms. Geer said in conclusion, "Let us combine our collective energy to
bring the best out in humanity, and support the courageous people who are
fighting an oppressive system even at the cost of their lives." Former CCP Diplomat Likens the CCP to a Dilapidated Old House that is about
to CollapseMr. Chen Yonglin said, "I come here with a heavy
heart because I just heard that one Chinese writer was just detained in China
because of his open and brave writing on the Internet. It shows that the
environment in China is still very dark and severe. However, I feel relieved
that 30 million Chinese Communist Party members, Youth League members and Young
Pioneers have withdrawn from the Communist Party organizations." "I'm
fully confident that this regime will collapse soon. If everyone can give a
little push, it will collapse immediately." MP: Quitting the CCP is a Trend Christine Donayre, who represents the Greens' Kerry Nettle, said, "The
resignation of 30 million Communist Party members is something to
celebrate." "When the Nine Commentaries on the
Communist Party were written, I'm sure that its authors could not have
imagined that just three years later, 30 million members would have signed
declarations denouncing the Party, including Government and Party
officials." Ms. Donayre continued, "How can we stand by in our free democratic
country and not demand the same for the people in China? ...We will continue to
work with you by bringing up these matters in Parliament." Ms. Donayre said in conclusion, "The more people become aware of the
human rights abuses that the Communist Party is committing in China, the more
they will speak out and demand an end to the Communist Party and freedom for
China." Ms. Linda Huang, Representative of Taiwanese Community, Said he Fates of
People in Taiwan and Mainland China are Connected Ms. Huang said that as long as the CCP exists, the Taiwanese people risk one
day being subjected to its suppression like people in Mainland China. If the CCP
is gone, it will mean a great relief for the future of Taiwan. She called on
people in Taiwan and Mainland China to work together for the sake of peace and
freedom. Ms. Luan Shuang, who came to Australia from Mainland China, exposed the CCP's
persecution of her family. In the 1950s, her grandfather, who was a professor of
medicine, was sentenced to eight years of forced labor for criticizing the CCP.
In the 1980s, she witnessed the CCP using tanks to suppress the student
democracy movement in Tiananmen Square. In the 1990s, the CCP launched a
persecution campaign against Falun Gong, and countless practitioners were
subjected to imprisonment, torture and worse. She called on people to see
clearly the CCP's nature and break away from the control of the CCP's evil
specter. After the rally, the attendees built a "Great Wall of Truth" using
display boards to expose the CCP's crimes. They called on more people to quit
the CCP organizations and usher in a new China. Posting date: 12/22/2007
