Practitioner Mr. Li Ziran Critically Ill Due to Persecution at Wangling Prison in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Li Ziran is a staff member of the No. 4 Construction Company of the China Chemical Engineering Corp. in Yueyang City, Hunan Province. He was taken into custody four times for distributing truth-clarifying materials to people. On March 3, 2005, he was sentenced to four years in prison after he was illegally arrested. He is currently being subjected to persecution in the Wangling Prison in Xiao County.

On March 3, 2005, Mr. Li was taken from his dormitory by officer Li Shiquan and Zhou Zaolin from Yueyang City. Afterwards, he was illegally sentenced to prison by Yang Yong from the Yueyang County Procuratorate, and Xiao Zhijun and Li Xiaong from Yueyang County Court. He was then taken to the Jinshi City Prison. Since Mr. Li refused to give in to the persecution, he was transferred to the Chenzhou City Prison two months later. There, he was subjected to many types of torture. He was brutally beaten and forced to remain standing for long periods of time. Sometimes, he was not allowed to use the restroom while standing, and once he had no choice but to soil his pants. The main perpetrator is guard Li Liping. When Mr. Li shouted that Falun Dafa was good, the guards and prisoners attacked him and choked him relentlessly until he could not breathe.

On March 20, 2007, Mr. Li tried to stop guard Wu Xintao from beating a 60-year-old detained practitioner and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good." Consequently, guards Peng Ruowen and Huang Shuiqing handcuffed him for five consecutive days. In early April, Mr. Li was transferred to the Wangling Prison in Xiao County, where he is currently detained in the No. 1 Cell of the No. 6 Ward.

Mr. Li is critically ill, and his situation is dire.
