Senator George Onorato issued a proclamation to offer his congratulations to New
Tang Dynasty Television and Divine Performing Arts upon the opening of the 2007
Holiday Wonders. Below is the text of the proclamation. Proclamation Honoring New Tang Dynasty Television Whereas, New Tang Dynasty Television is collaborating with
its production partner, Divine Performing Arts, to present an exciting 2007
Holiday Wonders performance to showcase the best in traditional Chinese culture;
and Whereas, this innovative cultural event, which will be on
stage at the Beacon Theatre in New York City from December 18th
through December 20th, melds the wonderful arts and music of the East
with the traditional holiday traditions of the West; and Whereas, the 2007 Holiday Wonders extravaganza will
feature hundreds of dancers, musicians, vocalists and a live orchestra, and will
present exceptional backgrounds scenery, costumes, and choreography, all
designed to delight and charm its audience; and Whereas, through the 2007 Holiday Wonders performances,
and many other exciting cultural activities, the Divine Performing Arts troupe
is enabling its audiences to experience the beauty of the arts and values that
have highlighted China's 5000 year history; and Whereas, New Tang Dynasty Television and Divine
Performing Arts are to be commended for their artistic and cultural pursuits,
which help to underscore the beautiful diversity of people and cultures that
make up the State and City of New York; and Whereas, the 2007 Holiday Wonders performance will
undoubtedly add a new brilliance and joy to the holiday season in our City and
State; now, therefore, be it Resolved, that I, State Senator George Onorato, offer my
congratulations to New Tang Dynasty Television and Divine Performing Arts upon
