By a Falun Dafa practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) I started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. Because of my father being a prominent provincial government official, I have walked alone in my eleven years of cultivation. Actually, it is inaccurate to say "alone," as I have walked my path under Teacher's guidance and protection and with encouragement from my fellow practitioners. A few days ago, I read a notice on the Minghui website, encouraging practitioners to write experience sharing articles. I recalled the past eleven years of my cultivation but didn't feel like I had many things to write about. Whatever I did is what I should do, but I really wanted to write an article to share with everyone. Although the things I did are simple, each of us is unique, so the simple things are still worth sharing.

Many of my father's friends are CEO's in large companies or central government and provincial-level officials, and I understand that I am to clarify the truth to them. I sent truth clarification materials to each person for whom my dad has a business card. Every few days, I collect the business cards my dad brings home. He is very busy and often goes overseas, meeting friends and colleagues. So many people want to meet with him. I understand that Teacher has arranged for me to clarify the truth to those people.

I send material about Falun Gong to those friends of my father whom I have never met. To those whom I'm familiar with, I clarify the truth to them directly or write letters. Once I wrote a letter to one of his friends who is a deputy provincial governor. He told my father about the letter and asked him to control me a little. Because I have helped my parents withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), my dad was very calm and asked my mom to tell me to stop doing this. The next day, that deputy provincial governor had some business near my company and invited me to lunch. I took that opportunity to clarify the truth to him in deeper detail. I talked from many aspects on why they should withdraw from the CCP. He and his wife agreed with me, and told me that he spoke to my dad out of concern for him getting into trouble on my account.

I understand that each position I find myself in is for me to save more sentient beings. I think of myself as a tree. The trunk is the Dafa practitioner and the branches are the family members, friends, and coworkers. My responsibility is to clarify the truth to all the beings connected to me.

For example, I have had many roles at work that allowed me to interact with many businesses. In each business, Teacher has arranged many people for me to come into contact with. I clearly understand that the work I do is just on the surface. Through these businesses, I can contact those people who have predestined relationships with Dafa.

In my work, I often interact with the media. I collected many magazines related to my work and found that each magazine has a list of editors and their contact information.

As long as I put my heart into saving more sentient beings, I will find more people waiting for me to save. For example, one magazine may mention someone's name or a company, or I will find many people through the Internet. Whenever I feel frustrated that I don't find more people to reach on a particular day, Teacher helps me to find many more new contacts.

Teacher told us that everything we come cross has a reason behind it. When having dinner in a restaurant and hearing one waiter call another's name, I will remember the name and the restaurant address, and later send a letter to that person clarifying the truth. When watching TV with my family, I take off my glasses so that I do not see the degenerate shows, but only hear and memorize people's information from the show. For example, when a professor was on a talk show, I remembered his name and university, to use as another channel to clarify the truth.

When we look at everything in our lives as ways to save sentient beings, we will find endless things to do.

During the past year, I have noticed something important. For a few people around me, including my family and colleagues, their appearances reflect my cultivation status. When I was diligent, they looked good, and the opposite when I was not. This had been this way for a long time, but I hadn't paid much attention to it.

I believe that not just myself, but every practitioner has a predestined relationship with those people around him. Our every thought and every action determine the futures of many people. Teacher told us that when we achieve Consummation, we will be the lords of our own universes. We should ask ourselves, "Have we been diligent enough to suit our position? Could we face our sentient beings with a clear conscience?" Whenever Teacher described the futures of Dafa disciples in the past, I couldn't understand how wonderful this would be. When I felt my influence on the people surrounding me, I gradually understood the meaning of what Teacher said.

When our righteous thoughts are strong, the evil factors are very weak. There have been so many such examples. Let us believe in the power that Teacher bestows upon us! The power is so strong and allows us to save people and change the world. We can do things that ordinary people would not even dream of doing.

We may have only some vague notion of what a god is, but when we strictly follow Teacher's requirements in everything we do, we are gradually becoming the most righteous divine beings.

A divine being would not be attached to any type of food. Whatever is available is what I eat. Food is for us to sustain our lives, but we shouldn't become attached to any particular food.

Likewise, the most luxurious clothes in the human world are just trash to a divine being. However, we should still dress properly according to standards of the everyday human world while not being attached to appearances.

A divine being would not be attached to luxury. I only take a luxury car when I have to, otherwise, I take a taxi for my business. In this way, I can help more people to learn the facts about Falun Gong.

A divine being would not be attached to fame or personal gain, which is the reason for much human suffering.

A divine being would not be attached to any desire, because he can see that a short period of joy can bring endless pain.

I can see that mankind goes through so much suffering, such as old age, illness, and death. There are also those who haven't withdrawn from the CCP and still have the mark of the evil CCP on them. I see so many people waiting for us to save them. We should use the precious time Teacher gives us to save more people.

From time to time, I can feel the power of all practitioners as one body. The practitioners seem so near to me. They have been so diligent in their cultivation, and their work brings so much light and hope to the practitioners in China. I feel so proud to be one of them.
