(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 35 cities or counties in 17 provinces. In this report, approximately 59 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 44 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Ms. Zai Xuying is from Fushun City Shenyang Province. She was previously detained at the First Section of the Neichuang Prison Division, in the Second Prison. Because she clarified the truth and validated the Fa with other practitioners detained there, she was transferred to the confinement cell in the Yinshua Prison Division, and was persecuted there.

On October 26, 2007, Zai began a hunger strike to protest the isolation. It is the seventh day today. At present she is at the hospital of the Second Prison where she has been force fed. She has a swollen esophagus and she is on the brink of death.

Over thirty Falun Gong practitioners from Xuzhou City have been detained and persecuted by the Jiangsu Provincial 610 Office, Xuzhou Municipal 610 Office and Xuzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau. None have thus far been released.

Since January 2007 over thirty Falun Dafa practitioners have been illegally arrested in Pan County Liupanshui City. There are still thirteen practitioners detained at the Pan County Custodial Station and are persecuted there.

In mid June 2007 policeman Yuan Zhongxu from the police station located in Zhiping Office of Jiangjin City, Chongqing broke into Mr. Zhu Wancheng's home and harassed him causing him to be unable to live peacefully.

On November 4, 2007 police arrested Mr. Qiu Baoseng from Ninghua County when he was distributing truth-clarifying CDs. He was sent to Cuijiang Police Station and was interrogated by torture. On November 5, Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Yuqing's house was illegally searched. At present both are illegally detained at the Ninghua Custodial Station.

Ms. Zhang Bo is thirty-six years old. On the afternoon of April 3, 2007, policemen Zhou Fuyou and Tian Kaiyuan arrested her on her way home with her son from kingdergarten and forced her into a taxi. She was detained at the Changliu Custodial Station in Tonghua City. On April 7, 2007, she was sent to the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City and was detained there. Because she refused to cooperate with the police, do the slave labor work or write reports on what she was thinking, the police severely beat her, forced her to stand for long periods of time, shocked her with electric batons and deprived her of sleep. They increased her sentence by forty days. She is now suffering from a low-grade fever and lung problem.

On October 30, 2007, Mr. Wu Zhongli, a health doctor from the affiliated hospital for staff and workers of the Panzhihua Steel Plant in Panzhihua City, was arrested at home. He is now illegally detained at the Wanyaoshu Custodial Station in Panzhihua City.

After the incident of Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Duo and his wife Ms. Zhang Xiuzhen being arrested and their home being ransacked was exposed on the Minghui website, Zhang Xiuzhen was released and went home on November 3, 2007. The following day Zhang was given back the confiscated TV, VCD and two mobile phones.

Mr. Wang Duo has been approved for arrest and his case has been sent to the Procuratorate.

Since Mr. Han Nanjun was illegally arrested in June 2007, he has been detained at the Hexi Custodial Station. Police from the Kequ Public Security Bureau forbid his family members from visiting him.

On August 31, 2007, the director of the Public Security Bureau in Shuangyashan City, along with another four policemen, broke into the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Sun Shuzhi and illegally ransacked her house. They forcibly confiscated Falun Dafa materials. Sun's daughter Ms. Yu Fengchun was severely tortured. She is now suffering from liver cirrhosis ascites.

In June 2007 police arrested sixty-seven-year-old Mr. He Ming at his home. He is now illegally detained at the custodial station at Luohu District. In 2004 the police broke his arm when they illegally arrested him. In 2005 he was arrested and sent to the brainwashing center and was persecuted there.

Ms. Zhang Peiyun is fifty-one years old. On November 1, police in Tianshui City arrested her at her home. She is now illegally detained at the custodial station in Qinzhou District.

At noon on September 30, 2007, police arrested Ms. Tian Limei and Mr. Wang Zhongbao at a supermarket. In the afternoon police went to Wang's home and illegally ransacked his house. They confiscated a computer. On October 4, police forcibly took Wang to Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. Detained with Wang was Mr. Shao Gang, a practitioner from Nantong City.

At about 11:00 a.m. on November 12, 2007, the chief of the Political and Security Section of the Public Security Bureau in Pingshan County led some policemen and went to the Jingye Group. They arrested Mr. An Sanqing, who was at work, and forcibly took him to the public security bureau, and then sent him to a custodial station where he was illegally detained.

On October 23, 2007, police from the Security Department of the Jidong Prison interrogated Ms. Li Xiaodi, a staff member from the Fourth Team of the Jidong Prison in Tangshan City. They tried to get a confession from her by force and went to harass her at home. She was suspended from her position and was ordered to reflect on her wrongdoings. In the afternoon she was forcibly sent to the public security sub-bureau in the Nanbao Development Zone in Tangshan City, where she was persecuted.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Yi from the Liangshanzhou Public Road Bureau was arrested at noon on October 13, 2007, and has been detained on criminal charges for thirty-one days. His case has been sent to the Procuratorate in Xichang City for prosecution.

Falun Dafa practitioner Li Meirong, a teacher from Hengxing Kindergarten in Zhangdian District, Zhibo City, taught children the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance," but one parent reported her to the police. She was arrested on November 8, 2007.

In November 2007, Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Liao Zhijun, Mr. Liao Songlin, Ms. Meng Qinglian and Ms. Zhang Yan, four members of the family, were arrested and their whereabouts are unknown. The Deputy Director of the National Security Bureau in Chenzhou City lead police to their home and illegally ransacked their house.

On the morning of January 8, Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Wang Fuhua and Mr. Zhang Jixiang were arrested.

On the morning of January 9, police in Zhucheng City and from the Baichihe Police Station broke into the home of Ms. Sheng Zeyun. They ransacked the house and arrested her. They confiscated Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials and Falun Dafa CDs.

On the morning of October 23, 2007, police in Shouguang City instructed police from the Jitai County Police Station to arrest Mr. Meng Xiangming at his home and illegally ransack his house. Ming was locked up in an iron cage at the police station for two days and one night. He was extorted of 2000 yuan in cash. The next day he was released.

At about 9:00 a.m. on November 5, four or five policemen from the Jitai County Police Station arrested Meng again and forcibly handcuffed him and sent him to the custodial station in Shouguang City, where he was persecuted.

On November 2, 2007, police from the 610 Office in Ruian City arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Ah Fei from Mayu County, Ruian City when he was walking on the street. He has a small child and a sick wife at home with no one to look after them.

On November 7, police from the 610 Office in Ruian City arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhou Xiaobo from Mayu Town at his home at Paotian, Tangxia County.

On November 8, 2007, police from the Tilanqiao Police Station of the Hongkou Public Security Sub-Bureau forcibly took away Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Song Weijue, Mr. Zhu Fanli and their daughter from their home at Putuo District, Shanghai. They ransacked their home. The daughter has been released but is alone at home with no one looking after her.

On the morning of November 12, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Jianguo and Ms. Zhou Shuyun, along with other practitioners, went to the police station in Cai City and demanded the release of Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Ren Yanjie and Ms. Wang Yajun, who were detained there. Police from the Dongan Public Security Sub-Bureau in Mudangjiang City and from the police station in Cai City arrested Zhao and Zhou. They are now illegally detained at the police station in Cai City.

On the evening of July 11, 2007, police from the Public Security Sub-Bureau in Doumen District arrested Mr. Tang Xuejun, a teacher from Datonghu District, Yiyang City, who lived at the dormitory at Zhongte Wenwu School in Doumen District, Zhuhai City. He has been detained for more than four months.

On the afternoon of November 12, 2007, Ms. Yu Xiaohua went to Zhongben Town to clarify the truth to people, but she was reported to the police. Five policemen arrested her and beat her. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Family members who went to visit Falun Dafa practitioners detained at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp told the following stories: Practitioners have to work beyond their limits. They weave flowers, do the farm work and work at least twelve hours, and up to sixteen hours. Not long ago a few practitioners were transferred from Beijing to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp and they were tortured there.

Sixty-three year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Rong from the Eighth Village, Doulun County, Inner Mongolia, went to see her son at Xichang, Pinganbao, Fengning County, Hebei Province. On November 11, four policemen arrested her when she was at her son's home reading books. So far she is still detained.

On November 8, 2007, police arrested the wife of late Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Chuncheng from Shiqiaozi Town, Zhucheng City, who was persecuted to death. They ransacked her home. Because her family is not able to give money to the police, she has been detained at the custodial station in Zhucheng City.

On November 8, police arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Hou Xxuehong and her mother from Liujiaguanzhuang, Chenggezhuang Town, Zhucheng City, and ransacked her home. Her brother went to the Public Security Bureau to demand their release. Because he didn't give the police six thousand yuan, Hou and her mother are still illegally detained at the custodial station in Zhucheng City.

On the afternoon of November 7, family members of Ms. Li Yufang from Dazhusupu Village, Shiqiaozi Town who had been detained gave police two thousand yuan and the police released her.

On November 8, the police arrested Falun Dafa practitioner couple Ms. Yang Peijuan and Mr. Zhang Peirong, along with practitioner Mr. Zhang Jixiang from Zhucheng City. They ransacked their homes. They have now been released.

Mr. Wei Yanhe was sentenced to three years in jail in 2001 for validating the Fa. He was sent to the Weibei Farm and tortured for three years there. This was the second time he was persecuted.

On November 12, 2007, seven or eight police officers from the Dawangzhuang County Police Station in Wuqing District, Tianjing City went to the home of practitioner Ms. Wang Xiuyun at Lishangtun Village and confiscated all Falun Dafa books, Master's photos, truth-clarifying materials, VCDs, and NTDTV satellite receivers.

On November 6, 2007, police from the Public Security Sub-Bureau in Pokou District arrested sixty-year-old Ms. Cheng Jinhua from Pukou District Nanjing City at her son's home. She is currently detained at Nanjing City Custodial Station.

Chen's son Mr. Zhang Xuefeng was arrested in 2001 and was sentenced to eight and a half years by the Xiaguan District Court. He is detained in a prison in Suzhou.

Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Li Ming, Professor Ding Zeyang and Professor Chen Qinggui from the Water Conservancy Colleague of Sichuan University lived in the jurisdiction of Wangjiang Community Committee Office in Chendu City. They were sent to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center and persecuted there.

At about 4:00 p.m. on November 8, 2007, dozens of police officers led by chief of the Investigation Section of the Public Security Bureau in Chongqing City and chief of the Investigation Section of Longshan Public Security Bureau in Hunan Province broke into the home of Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Chen Erqi, Chen Yaoseng, and Mr. Chen Yaolin from Longtan, Xianyan, Chongqing City. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and arrested them.

Chen Yaolin is now illegally detained at the custodial station of the Longshan County Public Security Bureau and Chen Erqi at a custodial station of the Chongqing City Public Security Bureau. Chen Yaoseng has been released.

On November 6, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yan Xiaolin from the Southwest University of Science and Technology was illegally arrested on criminal charges for refusing to sign a statement that indicated that she had been "transformed." She was then transferred to the Mianyan Custodial Station. Not long ago practitioners Ms. Mou Lin and Ms. Liu Fang from the Southwest University of Science and Technology were illegally detained there for refusing to be "transformed."

On September 12, illegally arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yue Lihua was approved for arrest. At the moment she is detained at the custodial station in Jinan City.

Yue Lihua lived at Beimen Residential Area in the city of Jining. From September 2002 to September 2004 she was illegally detained at the Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp for two years. In September 2003, she made a public statement declaring her "transformation" statement null and void. As a result she was persecuted even more. She was locked in a confinement cell and deprived of sleep for several days. Her family members were not allowed to see her and not allowed to send her money. Inmates closely followed and monitored her and even accompanied her to the toilet.
