Taiwan: People Support the "Quit the CCP" Parade after Learning the Facts from the Nine Commentaries (Photos)
By Huang Yusheng from Taiwan
(Clearwisdom.net) A large-scale parade was held in Taichung on December
1, 2007. The parade attracted many Taiwanese people who supported the nearly 30
million brave people in Mainland China who have quit the Chinese Communist Party
(CCP) or its affiliated organizations. Mr. Wu is currently studying at the Chinese Research Institute at Tunghai
University. He learned about the parade from an advertisement in The Epoch
Times newspaper and took the initiative to participate. He said that a
professor who teaches "Introduction to the Buddha School" in his
junior year talked about the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party
when he discussed issues about the CCP persecuting religious beliefs in China.
The professor commented that the book thoroughly exposes the Communist Party's
evil nature. Mr. Wu then searched the website and found the book. He has since
become a loyal reader of The Epoch Times. He has also read books
such as The Real Story of Jiang Zemin and Disintegrating the
Party Culture, both published on The Epoch Times website. He also said that he had had many doubts and much confusion about Falun Gong.
After reading the Nine Commentaries, he understood that all he had heard
about Falun Gong was fabricated by the CCP to deceive and confuse people. He
expressed his support for the practitioners' peaceful appeals and said that he
would try his best to support the Chinese people and persecuted Falun Gong
practitioners in any way he could. More than 4,000 people participated in the grand parade to
support the 30 million brave people who have quit the CCP Mourning for practitioners who have died as a
result of the CCP's persecution Displaying the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa on December 1,
2007, in Taichung, Taiwan Experiencing the Wonders of Falun Dafa and Witnessing the CCP's Evil Acts Ms. Yang is from Chungli. She has worked in the insurance field for over 20
years. All four members of her family took part in the parade. She said that she
came to know Falun Gong four years ago, but she did not take up cultivation
then. She often introduced her relatives and friends to the book Zhuan
Falun, and she herself finally decided to practice last year. She often worked as a volunteer at her children's school. She introduced
teachers and students to the goodness and wonders of Falun Dafa. Recently, at
the request of teachers and students, she has been going to the school every
Monday and Thursday afternoon to teach the Falun Gong exercises. She said that she has truly experienced the goodness of cultivation and that
this experience itself is enough to verify the unreasonable nature of the CCP's
persecution. Before she took up the practice, she was stubborn and unruly. After
practicing Falun Gong, she began looking at things from a broader perspective.
She bases her work ethic in the insurance field on
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and has gained friendship and
trust from many more insurers. They also learn about the wonderfulness of Falun
Dafa and the persecution in China. Ms. Yang said that the parade is of great importance as it raises awareness
to many more Taiwanese people about the CCP's evil nature and the brutal
persecution inflicted upon Falun Gong practitioners. It will also accelerate the
disintegration of the CCP. An Older Man Said: "The CCP is jealous of Falun Gong." Taichung resident Mr. Tsai is 80 years old. He attended the press conference
prior to the parade. He said that the activity carries great meaning, because as
long as the CCP disintegrates peacefully, the mainland will be as democratic as
Taiwan, and the Taiwanese people will not be subject to the CCP's military
threats. He said that the CCP is corrupt, that it can't bear to see so many people
practicing Falun Gong, and therefore persecutes innocent people. He said that he
learned from television that Falun Gong benefits people both physically and
mentally. He was certain that the CCP is jealous of Falun Gong. Filming the Parade and Showing his Chinese Friends Mr. Lim is from Ilan. He is a dealer who publishes ads in The Epoch
Times newspaper. He said he was "amazed" when asked how he felt
about the parade. He asked his friend who came with him to film the entire
parade so he could send it to his Chinese friends. He previously did business in China, and had long experienced the distrust
and struggle between the people there. Through his contacts with Falun Gong
practitioners, he knows that practitioners are kind and warmhearted, completely
different from what is described in the CCP slander. The Manager of a Toy Store Shouts "Falun Dafa is good." When the parade procession passed by a toy store, the manager of the store,
Mr. Lim, stood on a chair and enthusiastically shouted, "Falun Dafa is
good!" "The CCP is bad." He kept applauding the parade
participants and repeatedly expressed his thanks. He said that the CCP is like a
tree that is no longer good, that its fruits are bad, and that the CCP is about
to be uprooted. He said that people's strength is precious. He wanted to bravely
express his true thoughts. He asked his daughter and staff beside him to step
forward to support the righteous people. Building Guard Says "The Chinese officials are overbearing." A building guard was attracted by the parade procession and came out to
watch. He said to people beside him that the persecution of beliefs in China is
very serious, and not only Falun Gong. Other similar groups have also been
subjected to the persecution. He said that the CCP officials are arrogant and unreasonable. They do not
allow people to do things that they themselves do. When he learned that
participants of the parade voluntarily came from around Taiwan at their own
expense, he expressed his admiration. Investing in China and Almost Deceived, Mr. Xu Witnessed the CCP's Evil
Nature Mr. Xu and his mother watched the parade for quite some time. They said they
had planned to go to Tianjin to invest many years ago, but they canceled their
plans in a timely manner, because they witnessed the CCP officials using
despicable means to lure Taiwanese business people to invest, then extorting
money from them using debased methods. One of their relatives was the manager of
a factory in China, and he could not afford to pay all the different taxes
collected by different government departments, and was forced into bankruptcy.
He was too ashamed to return to Taiwan and see his relatives and friends, and
had to stay in China to work for others for a living. Mr. Xu kept saying,
"The CCP is too evil." During the parade, some people said they wanted to learn the practice of
Falun Gong the next day.
