Mr. Wang Jieming is an employee of the Liaohe Oilfield Petrochemical Plant, and Zhang Dalin is from the Xinglongtai District of Panjin City. Following their arrest, their families looked for them everywhere, including the Panjin City Police Department, the Liaohe Oilfield Police Station and local police stations, but could not find them. On November 18, their family members managed to find Mr. Wang Jieming's bloodstained clothing in a trashcan on the 4^th floor of the Panshan County People's Hospital and eventually located Wang Jieming at Panjin City People's Hospital.

Wang Jieming had asked the police to inform his family of the shooting, but the police did not do so. Instead, they secretly transferred Wang Jieming to the 4^th floor of the Panshan County People's Hospital after he was treated at the Panjin City No. 2 Hospital.

Wang Jieming is forced to wear handcuffs when he sleeps and is guarded by a number of police officers on shifts. No one is permitted to visit him.

Zhang Dalin has also suffered severe persecution. Chest pains prevent him from eating normally. He is now held at the Tuwei Detention Center in Panshan County. The police have impounded their car.
