Li Dianqin's Family Worried for Her Safety After She Is Illegally Detained for Over a Month (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Li Dianqin is a Falun Gong practitioner and a resident of the Huaxiang Community in the Tiexi District of Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. She was illegally arrested by officers from Xingshun Police Station while she was distributing "truth-clarification" materials on Xingshun Street in the Tiexi District on October 16 or 17, 2007. While her home was being illegally raided, Ms. Li was taken to the Shenyang Detention Center, where she is still currently detained. The Xingshun Police Station prohibits anyone from visiting Ms. Li and rejects all packages delivered to her, even when they contain specific items of clothing that she needs. Over the past month there has not been any more information about Li Dianqin. Her family and friends are very worried about her well-being.

Ms. Li Dianqin is 56 years old. She has had a rough life, as her husband passed away early, leaving her and their young daughter behind. She had several diseases including liver cancer, as well as intestinal adhesions. She passed out frequently and had to be taken to the emergency room. In order to help cure her diseases, her family borrowed a lot of money for medical treatment, yet even so her health still didn't seem to improve at all. Her weight decreased from about 110 lbs to 65 lbs. She became so weak that she couldn't even talk.

Ms. Li came into contact with Falun Gong because she was drawn by the teachings of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. In the process of reading the Falun Gong books, her mind became more and more peaceful while her physical health was getting better without her noticing. A few months later, she went to the hospital to get a checkup. To the doctor and her family's surprise, the intestinal adhesion was separated and open, and the tumor on her liver was completely gone! Her family and friends had witnessed the miracles and the wonders of Falun Gong. They were so amazed that they became very supportive of her practicing Falun Gong.

Ever since the Chinese Communist Party began the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, Ms. Li Dianqin has been clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. However, she has been brutally persecuted for doing so. In 2000, she was illegally detained at the brainwashing center in the Tiexi District mental hospital in Shenyang City, and was then imprisoned at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Before she was sent to Masanjia, Li Dianqin was brutally beaten by officers from Lingkong Police Station in Tiexi District. Because of the abuse she experienced, her face was deformed and her hands were swollen and bruised. The police said to her, "The Chinese Communist Party forbids you to practice; you would be better off stealing or even committing robbery!"

At the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, Ms. Li was tortured until her health became very poor. She started having bladder and bowel problems. The labor camp and relevant departments were afraid of being held responsible for her death, so she was released on medical probation.

Now, this good person, who has suffered so much, is being persecuted again.
