Practitioner Gao Guofen Hung Up in the Air for Ten Days (Photo)

On September 29, 2007, Gao Guofen, a practitioner imprisoned at the Qianjin Labor Camp in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, was hung up in a metal cage for ten days simply for saying, "Falun Dafa is good" during a labor camp meeting. She also said, "Please stop the persecution." She was brutally beaten by a group of guards, hung up in a metal cage and forbidden to sleep for ten days. Her restroom use was restricted, the food she received was scarce. The persecution made Gao Guofen unable to stand. Her legs and hands were swollen, hands trembling.

On October 9, Gao Guofen was dragged back to a solitary confinement cell and was monitored. Two prisoners and a female guard called Zhang Aihui kept 24 hour watch. She was permitted neither restroom use nor allowed to eat. Even though if it was very cold in October in Harbin, guard Zhang Aihui forbade her from wearing shoes and a dress and forced her to write "Three Guarantee Statements."

For wearing a jacket that bore the words "Falun Dafa is Good" "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance is good," Dongfen Police Station agents arrested and transferred Gao Guofen to Domestic Security Division for detention. The arrest happened at a morning market on September 11, 2007. She was incarcerated for half month and then was sentenced to two years of forced labor.

Gao Guofen was sent to the Qianjin Labor Camp on September 26, 2007. Police offer Dong Huiqun did the transaction. As she persisted in doing the Falun Gong exercises, women guards Sui Xuemei and Xie Chunyan hit her with heavy blows, resulting in injuries to her chest, face and nose.

In a meeting on September 29, during which they held so-called "get-together," Guofen Gao walked into the meeting, picked up a microphone and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good." She was held down, and four women guards dragged her out of the meeting room. They were deputy team heads Sui Xuemei, Zhang Aihui, and guards Wang Meiying and Li. She was sent into sent her to a metal cage set up by management section chief Chen Lihua. A male guard pummeled her with heavy blows, resulting in severe injuries to her head, a swollen and distorted face, and severe bleeding. Both of her hands were handcuffed to the bars of the cage.
