Yang Peizhan

Mr. Yang Peizhan, 73, was from Tuanling Town, Jingmen City in Hubei Province. He started to practice Falun Dafa in 1999 and recovered from multiple diseases as a result of the practice. Because of his clarifying the truth and validating Dafa after the persecution began, Mr. Yang was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2003 and was detained at Shayang Prison Camp in Hubei Province. He was severely persecuted there, and as a result he often had blood in his urine and developed edema all over his body.

In order to avoid responsibility for Ms. Yang's death, the Communist Party agents allowed him to be released on bail for medical treatment in December 2006. However, the persecution had caused too much damage to his health, and Yang Peizhan died on July 15, 2007.

Fang Xinzhi

Ms. Fang Xinzhi, 50, was a practitioner in Xichengzhen Village of Zhengkou Town, Gucheng County, Hebei Province. Because of her persisting in practicing Falun Dafa, she was illegally arrested twice around July 20, 1999 by the Gucheng County 610 Office and sent to a brainwashing center.

After she went to Beijing to validate Dafa in 2001, Fang Xinzhi was sentenced to three years of forced labor. During that period, her husband, Zhang Jinsheng, was also sentenced to two years of forced labor because of clarifying the truth.

Less than two years after the couple were back home, in April 2005, Zhang Jinshen was again arrested at home and sentenced to three years of forced labor. He is currently suffering persecution in Handan Forced Labor Camp.

On May 12, 2006, Fang Xinzhi was once again arrested by police from Zhengkou Police Station, for no reason. Her arm was injured in the arrest. She had severe pain in her left hand, which made her unable to carry anything. She was detained in the detention center for a month, and more than 1,000 yuan was extorted from her. During that period, her daughter was left alone at home. Since her wrist had been broken by the police, Ms. Fang was unable to continue her business of selling fresh vegetables and the family lost their source of income.

Because of the long-term persecution by the Chinese Communist Party, and under severe pressure (physical and mental), Fang Xinzhi became very weak. She died on the morning of November 21, 2006.
