Personnel from the National Security Section of the Shangzhi City Police Department and the Yabuli Police Station arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Chu Jingyuan on the afternoon of January 17, 2007, and put him into the city's No. 1 Detention Center.

Mr. Chu had been sentenced to one year of imprisonment in 2001 for appealing for Falun Gong. He also had been sentenced to two years of imprisonment in 2003.

Police arrested practitioner Ms. Zhuang Junyuan from the Pingfang District and confiscated a computer and three printers.

Someone reported practitioners Ms. Gan Meihua, Ms. Shi Rongjun, and Ms. Caiying from Quanqiu Village, Daxinzhuang Town, Dingzhou City, on January 21, 2007, which led to their arrest. It happened when they were distributing truth-clarifying materials at Siwang Village.

610 Office personnel arrested practitioners Mr. He Jianren, Mr. He Qiang, Ms. He Yanping, Ms. Wu Yulan, Ms. Liang Huizhen, Mr. Deng Jinglin, and Mr. Lan Jizhou from Qingyuan City during February and March in 2006. In addition to the reported brutal torture of practitioners in the Deyang Prison, the authorities often don't give practitioners enough food. For example, practitioner Mr. Yang Yourun from Guanghan City, Sichuan Province, had since February 2005 been in a tight-administration group because he copied one of Master's writings. Police gave him only one fourth of a piece of steamed bread and a mouthful of rice gruel each morning for five months. The meals served to him during an entire day amounted to less than 250 grams of food. Yang Yourun was extremely thin and did not have the strength to stand for very long, however, police nonetheless forced him to run laps around the athletic field. If he was unable to run at all, Zeng Guifu, No. 2 Division chief, ordered several felons to hold his arms and force him to run. If that didn't work, a few felons were ordered to push Mr. Yang to the ground and leave him exposed to the hot sun. Yang Yonrun has been tortured almost to the point of death.

Police arrested Ms. Tian Hua and Ms. Dong Liantai when a group of practitioners from Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province, went to send forth righteous thoughts around Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City on January 23, 2007.

Practitioners Ms. Wan Gurong and Wan Gufen from Mazu Town, Shifang City, the Deyang area, were arrested when distributing truth-clarifying materials at Shuangsheng Town, Shifang City, at 10:00 a.m. on January 11, 2007. It is unknown where they are being held.

Practitioners Mr. Jiang Hong and his wife were arrested on December 2, 2006, when posting truth-clarifying materials in Baijia Town, Shuangliu City. They are now being held in Xinjin Brainwashing Center.

Personnel from the National Security Team, Wuji County Police Department, and the Beisu Police Station in Shijiazhuang City arrested many practitioners in the name of preventing violence at 11:00 a.m. on January 16, 2007. One practitioner is still being held at a hostel in Wuji County.

Public Security Section chief Kong Lingjun from the Geometric Company of the Yan Mine Group, where practitioner Ms. Jing Guifeng works, led several persons from the Jidong Police Station of Yan Mine Group and the Zoucheng City 610 Office to break into Ms. Jing Guifeng's home at 7:00 p.m. on January 22, 2007. They ransacked the home without showing any ID.

Ms. Jing Guifeng wasn't at home. They found two laptop computers and two printers and then waited at her home. When she returned they took her away at 8:00 p.m. and confiscated the computers and printers.
