Man Recovers from Massive Head Injury after Hearing Heartfelt Words
(Clearwisdom.net) At around 9 p.m. on October 11, 2006, Li Shuangnan, who
lives in Wangjiang Town, Jiamusi City, was riding a motorcycle home from his
wife's brother's after a few drinks. His wife was on the back and he was
traveling at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour. He had an accident and both of
them were thrown from the motorcycle. There was a big hole on the right side of
Li Shuangnan's skull, and he lost a lot of brain matter. The missing piece of
his skull could not be found. It was after 11 p.m. when Li was sent to the Central Hospital of Jiamusi
City. The physician checked Li and found that he had no pulse or blood pressure,
and his pupils were enlarged. With a CT examination, his skull was found to be
deformed, like a watermelon that was falling apart. The physician said that
there was no hope at all to save Li's life and asked the nurse to wipe the blood
off his face so his mother could take one last look at her son. When Li Shuangnan's mother, a Falun Dafa practitioner, came into the
emergency room, she said loudly to her unconscious son: "Remember, Falun
Dafa is Good!" At that moment, Li gave a long sigh, and his feet moved a
little bit. The physician simply sewed up Li's scalp and left him to his family
to prepare the funeral. Li Shuangnan's family members brought his x-ray photos to experts at the No.
2 Hospital of Jiamusi City for a second opinion. They received the same
diagnosis: there was no hope at all for Li. One of Li Shuangnan's aunts is also a Falun Dafa practitioner. When she went
to the hospital, she also said into his ears, "Falun Dafa is Good."
(Li Shuangnan had read Zhuan Falun once a long time ago.) By noon the next day, October 12, 2006, a miracle had occurred: The physician told the family members: "Li's blood pressure and pulse
are both back, and we can operate now. The the minimum cost will be 50,000
yuan. It may cost 20,000 to 30,000 yuan for the recovery, and nobody
can guarantee the results. In any case, he will never be more than
comatose." On the morning on the 13th, Li Shuangnan was taken for another CT examination
before the operation. The physician found that the missing piece of skull had
re-appeared in place and the deformed skull had already returned to normal. The
shattered bones had grown back and no operation was necessary. By 3 p.m., Li
Shuangnan was removed from the emergency room to a regular room. From then on, the family members had Li Shuangnan listen to Teacher Li
Hongzhi's audio lectures. At around 9 p.m., Li Shuangnan was able to speak. The
physician told them that there was an imported medicine good for his skull
recovery, which was very expensive. Li Shuangnan's aunt said there was no need
for the medicine. Instead, she helped him listen to the audio lectures every
day. In the following days, Li Shuangnan did not have any fever or infections,
and his condition improved quickly. On November 10, the physician sent Li Shuangnan for another CT examination
and a UR examination. The results showed that he was completely normal. With
Teacher Li Hongzhi's care, Li Shuangnan was released from the hospital very
quickly. Now his memory is almost recovered, and he has been energetic. He is
even able to walk slowly by himself. When the persecution of Falun Dafa started, Li's mother went to Beijing to
appeal. She was arrested and sentenced to imprisonment at a forced labor camp.
Li Shuangnan was asked to hand in all their Dafa books but he hid them in a safe
place. Besides that, he has been always supportive of his mother's practice.
After this accident, he said: "If I had practiced Falun Dafa and had not
been drinking, I would never have had such an accident. It is Teacher who gave
me a second life. I will not disappoint Teacher again after his merciful
salvation." Li Shuangnan's story is being spread in the hospital and the nearby towns.
All those who witnessed the miraculous story of life and death--the doctors, the
nurses, the patients and their family members, friends, old schoolmates, and
co-workers--have admitted that Falun Dafa saved Li's life and that Falun Dafa is
good. Many of them have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party and its
