By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Chongqing City

(Clearwisdom.net) Sixty-one-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xu Yongpei from Shapingba District in Chongqing City has once again been taken to a brainwashing center. This is the third time he has been arrested by Chinese Communist Party officials and imprisoned at a brainwashing center.

In his youth, Mr. Xu Yongpei once served as an army regimental officer. He suffered from wounds, sickness and pain all over his body, which made him dependent on constant medication. He had to wear a steel vest to support his back, and a medicinal waistband around his abdomen. It was very difficult for him to take care of himself. He had to ask his work unit to reimburse him for medical expenses to the tune of about ten thousand yuan every year.

After he started practicing Falun Gong in 1996, his illnesses and pains vanished into thin air, and his family life also became more harmonious. Everyone said, "Mr. Xu Yongpei looks like a totally different person. He has also become younger."

In 2001, Mr. Xu was taken to a detention center by special agents from the Chinese Communist Party because he persisted in Falun Gong practice. Later he was forced to go to a brainwashing center for mandatory "re-education," but he never compromised. After six months he walked out of the brainwashing center with the help of righteous thoughts and in a dignified manner. After he returned home, the Chinese Communist Party officials, the police, and other busybodies never stopped monitoring, tracking, and harassing Xu Yongpei, but his determination in firmly cultivating Falun Dafa never wavered.

In 2002, he was once again taken to the detention center and the brainwashing center. After being subjected to brainwashing for about six months, he still did not waver and once again returned home with the help of righteous thoughts. In 2006, Mr. X became homeless and destitute to avoid further persecution.

On the afternoon of January 6, 2007, Mr. Xu and his wife, Ms. Chen Ya, were walking the noisy streets of Yangjiaping in the Jiulongpo District. A group of people led by state security agent Ou Lichang from the Shapingba District Police Department arrested Mr. Xu Yongpei once again, right in front of Ms. Chen Ya and everyone else. They took him to the city's notorious brainwashing center, presently located in the Wangxiangtai Country Club, Lushan Village, the Yubei District, Chongqing City.

Ostensibly, the reason for his arrest was that the Shapingba District police and personnel from the political security section of Xinqiao Hospital had discovered two copies of Zhuan Falun in Mr. Xu Yangpei's home at Xinquao during an illegal search in November 2006. Ou Lichang, the officer in charge at the time, had threatened Xu's wife on the scene, telling her to pass on a message to Mr. Xu Yongpei that Ou would arrest him.
