Asian Branch of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) Congratulates the Establishment of CIPFG-Europe

The press conference was held to announce the establishment of the European branch of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG-Europe) and the statement of support was from the Asia branch of CIPFG. We congratulate you on your founding and strongly support your intention to uphold fundamental human dignity.

The previous century was undoubtedly the worst in all recorded history in terms of brutality directed at the believers of many religions. One estimate of the number of human beings of all nationalities who died prematurely for their faiths between 1900 and 2000 is an appalling 169 million.

CIPFG ASIA consists of more than 110 elite individuals in the political, legal, medical and media fields as well as NGO workers in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Macao. This organization crosses national and political borders. Our members, fearless of a dictatorial regime, assist Falun Gong practitioners in ending the persecution out of conscience, moral obligation and a sense of justice. It is a magnificent feat of human rights in Asia.

The importance of human dignity today is indeniable around our shrinking planet. All faith communities and other members of civil societies everywhere should be fully united on issues like the ones still facing Falun Gong practitioners across China. All governments of, by and for their citizens should be working much harder and more effectively towards achieving a fully democratic world as early as possible in the new century. The 40 or so dictatorships left around the planet, which do so much damage internationally as well as domestically, should know always that our governments stand always with their respective populations and their human rights and well-being, and never with tyrants of any political hue.

Once again, we congratulate the formation of CIPFG-Europe. We are sure that more and more people will join CIPFG in its noble cause.
