Public Security Bureau and Bureau of Industry and Commerce in Hedong District, Linyi City, Shandong Province Arrest Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of January 22, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wei Dehuai, over 50 years old, from Yancheng County, Linyi City, Shandong Province, took a ride from a Falun Gong practitioner on her motorized tricycle. When they passed through the Hedong District, Bureau of Industry and Commerce officials stopped and checked their vehicle and found about 600 to 700 copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, four sets of satellite TV antennas, an ink printer, a thousand Dafa amulets, and a few thousand self-sealing plastic bags. These two practitioners were illegally arrested. The tricycle, all the items they were carrying on the tricycle, their cellphones, and their cash were confiscated.

These two practitioners were detained in the Hedong District Public Security Bureau, then in the Dongxing Avenue Police Station across the street from the Hedong District Market of Agricultural Products. To force them to tell their names and addresses, policeman Wang Xingdong beat and used an electric baton on the female practitioner. On the morning of January 23, the female practitioner escaped from the detention center. Mr. Wei Dehuai is still being detained.
