A New Practitioner: I Have Benefited Mentally and Physically from Falun Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a new practitioner; I only learned of Falun Dafa two years ago. I am now 75 years old and I live in Guangxi Province. For two years, I have experienced the beauty of Falun Dafa and witnessed many miraculous events. I want to say, "Thank you, Teacher. Falun Dafa is good."

In November 2004 while I was shopping in a market, a stranger gave me a Dafa amulet and told me to wear it for a good future. I saw that it was from Falun Gong. The picture on it was beautiful, so I kept it. I only walked for a little while before an old lady came up to me and said, "Falun Dafa is good. Many people have fully recovered after practicing Falun Gong. The propaganda in the newspapers is all made up. Only the people who practice know that Falun Gong is so wonderful that everyone can benefit from it." Although I didn't know her, she was a friendly and sincere looking person, so I began conversing with her.

I explained that I had several illnesses: tuberculosis, cardiac disease, hepatitis, and, the worst of all, insomnia. I tossed in my sleep nightly and felt as though I was lying atop sharp stones. It was unbearable, and even pills and injections were no use. I frequented the hospital, but there was nothing the doctors could do. A human body was just like a machine, and if the parts of the machine are worn out, there was nothing to do.

The old lady replied, "I once suffered from various illnesses, too. Are there any elderly without diseases? However, after practicing Falun Gong, it has been eight years since I have taken a single medicinal tablet. All of my diseases disappeared. See how healthy I am! It is so good to be without illnesses." I believed she was right. And since the hospital had forsaken all hope of curing my illness, I thought I should try Falun Gong. It was free and would probably work, so I brought her to my home.

The next day, she gave me a handwritten copy of Zhuan Falun and said, "There is a shortage of Falun Gong books right now. We couldn't find a printed copy. Though it is handwritten, this is a treasure." She also told me that after a few days she would teach me the exercises.

I started to read Zhuan Falun, which I found easy to understand. The book teaches people how to be good and was totally different from the propaganda on TV and in the newspapers. I personally could not find anything bad in Zhuan Falun.

Just a few days after practicing Falun Gong, I saw a Falun turning on my body. It was miraculous. The descriptions of the book are indeed true, and Teacher is so compassionate. Gradually, I fully recovered, with my insomnia unaccountably disappearing, and I could sleep straight through until morning every night. Later, during a physical check up, my tuberculosis, cardiac disease and hepatitis were nowhere to be found. The doctors doubted how a person like me could recover without taking any medication. I told them, "It is true. I practice Falun Gong, and all my illnesses have disappeared. I seem to be another person." Eventually, the doctors believed me. Seeing the miraculous changes in my body with their own eyes, they had to admire Falun Gong and even asked me for amulets.

My relatives witnessed how my health improved after practicing. My eldest son said, "Falun Gong is so good. Why not teach your daughter-in-law to practice?" My brother is a middle school teacher. After seeing my recovery, he said: "Sister, I have to admire Falun Gong now. After practicing, all of your illnesses disappeared. How rare such a panacea is. Please give me an amulet."

My neighbors, relatives, friends, the district director, and others who know me all believe that Falun Gong is good. I have taught them to say, "Falun Dafa is good! Zhen-Shan-Ren is good!"

The reason I wrote this down is to say, "Thank you, Teacher! Everything is arranged by Teacher. Everything is given by Teacher. I must treasure these, do the three things well, and not disappoint Teacher."
