Ms. Liu Junlu

Ms. Liu Junlu, who is in her thirties, is from Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province. She started to cultivate Falun Dafa in 1996. After that, she experienced better health and clarity of mind. After July 20, 1999, she appealed on behalf of Falun Dafa and clarified the truth about Falun Dafa. While she was attending the Dalian City Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference, she was arrested in August 2001 by policemen from the Xigang District Department in Dalian City. She was detained in the Yaojia Detention Center of Dalian City. Later, she was sentenced to12 years of imprisonment.

In the Eighth Ward of the Women's Prison of Liaoning Province, Ms. Liu Junlu was subjected to brutal torture. In the beginning of April 2004, she was stripped of all her clothes because she refused to write the Three Statements. She was hung up by her legs and exposed to the cold air through an open window. The persecutors wrote on her body phrases that slandered Falun Dafa and Master Li. She was forced to wear shackles and the inmates tread on the cuffs.

One of Ms. Lu Junlu's arms was disabled due to the torture, and she could not move it. For a long period of time, she was only given a piece of bread in the size of a fist and a small piece of pickle for each meal. Now, she is very frail, but she is still subjected to torture.

The Eighth Ward of the Women Prison of Liaoning Province is a district equipped with electric batons, and they use the electric batons daily. The brutal torture practitioners suffer has never ceased in the Eighth Ward. The guards in the Eighth Ward use inmates accused of robbery and homicide to directly participate in the torture of practitioners. The prison cells, hot-water supply rooms, restrooms, activity rooms, reading rooms, corridors, and the room 402 at the end of the building have all been used to torture practitioners in the Eighth Ward. The torture methods that are known to be used include: stripping off all their clothes, making them go barefoot, piercing them with needles, pouring cold water on them on freezing cold days, stripping them naked and hanging them on radiators with their legs spread open and their genital area kicked or poked with a hard object, and being hit with glass beer bottles.
